Single page available for all of weapons, armour and general in the Vault. 20 slots for each. Yeah, I miss that.
Cryptarch decrypting legendary engrams at rare tiers.
Less strikes in rotation.
No enemy diversity within strikes. (What? I sometimes like fighting Taken instead of Fallen.)
No private matches for playing with friends.
At most two Raids, both bugged and glitched; one of which people REFUSED to actually play and would rather just cheat their way through. Cheating in Crucible? Big no-no. Cheating in Raid? A-O-Kay!
Weapons are pretty much unchanged since launch.
Scout-rifles unchanged.
Pulse-rifles were brought up then down.
Hand Cannons lost their obscene range. (Thank goodness for that. The bloom factor is a tad bit strong but I'll take it.)
Auto-rifles are the only ones that had a fall-off, a slight one at that. (We may also be getting a weapon-balance patch some time soon so this auto-rifle point is probably moot.)\
No sidearms.
Shotguns with even greater range than now, combined with a more effective Blink for the ultimate in buckshot-bruising mayhem.
Subclasses having less power than now. Loved it when my Nova Bomb did significantly less damage or how my Golden Gun felt like a spud-gun. Such fun...
The annoying monotone voice of Peter Dinklage's Ghost. Some may have liked it, but I like my characters to feel as though they give a damn every now and then.
No exotic kiosks. No Shader kiosks. No Emblem kiosks. No Sparrow kiosks. No ship kiosks.
Less reptutation gained from Crucible matches. Factions that take longer to rank-up. Limited ways to gain reputation.
Nightfalls are unchanged aside from a single modifier, so that's not much.
A single weekly-capped amount of attainable marks that are split between Vanguard and Crucible, meaning you can't get those Titan boots from Shaxx if you don't like PvP.
Glad we don't have you as the creative director for Destiny, because I for one didn't like how tedious and artificially-extended Year 1 was.

but it was super fun from a casual POV. The endgame content is currently too accessible
-
Did you even year 1 bro? Shotguns were trash until house of wolves which was when year 1 was basically ending. Also, crucible had their own marks so did vanguard. Gg
-
Well yeah, all the fixes are great, but that doesn't make the content of year 2 or 3 more fun. It's all personal preference, and personally my favorite period was year 1. Everything was new and more exciting. Year 2 and 3 just didn't deliver that vanilla feeling. I feel like HoW got everything right (except balance). Trials was new & exciting, both raids became relevant, you could reroll gear making most drops worth keeping. I mean, most the crap I get now I discard. Marks I only use for cryptarch purchases which end up being a waste usually because of crap perks or just crap gear. I honestly only play casually now because there is no drive for some cool new thing. Blind perdition and the trials hunter cloak are all I really want now but because none of my friends play any more I'm stuck playing with randoms and hoping my team is decent enough to get 7 wins at least.

Scout Rifles received a damage increase shortly after The Dark Below came out, I think. Can't quite remember when, but that was the one thing that I know they changed.
-
They never touched scouts besides messing up the CQB characteristics when you ADS with them but Mida took the brunt of that nerf which was barely noticeable unless in PvP. Mida has been the only scout to receive and nerf(actually 2) that affected game play besides ToM and BoL bubbles.
-
They increased the base damage for medium rate of fire/high rate of fire rifles in 2.0. Mag size/AI damage, too. This was the patch that made MIDA relevant.

You just can't admit vanilla tastes better than chocolate.
Actually strawberry is better than both:)
Yes I can. Original's are not always the best. Next Generation is better than Original Series. The Prequels were better than Force Awakens. Firefly season 2 was better than season 1....wait...

One things for sure that if you are a yr 1 player then you know the true meaning of grinding & you appreciated exotics.
-
I remember when Xur had icebreaker and I had to do the nightfall to get strange coins first. And when reforging was a thing I actually had to farm for glimmer. Exclusion zone with a cabal booster for hours.
-
You know it..ha!
-
I play Warframe. I know the true meaning of grinding.

The nitain struggle is real...
-
That Vauban with the 20 Nitain cost....
-
And I'm trying to build him too...
-
Nightfall is hugely different, other than that spot on :)
-
What were the big changes? I'm genuinely asking. Nightfalls weren't a fan of me and I shied away from them often.
-
For one there were no sparrows or sparrow horn drops.
-
You used to get a lot more rep plus a rep boosting flaming head, used to get kicked to orbit and have to start over if your team wiped, burns were more sever in both directions, rewards were not great(not that they're awesome now, but used to be worse) way more yellow/shielded enemies like it was basically fresh troops 100% of the time, lots of things have been changed, some for the better others not so much
-
You forgot the crappy loot system, forever 29, and radiant and ascendant materials to level weapons and armor up to max light level.
-
Ehhhh. If they made all of the raids relevant I'd agree with you. House of wolves was the best Era of destiny in my eyes. A new crucible event, two raids. Elemental primaries! Handcannons had awesome range. I mean bungo even said they don't want a world in which anything can compete with scout rifles. So there's that nowadays. Year 1 wasn't perfect but, it was more fun than the crap we're given now.
