Why are people supporting Year 3 so much? It featured one of the worst stories I've played and brought nothing new to the table besides the raid. The reason why people are so done with Destiny Year 3 is simple. Many loved Year 1, either because of the grind or the simplicity of it. I will give one thing over to Year 3 however... Year 3 got it right to introduce the "+1-5" light according to your level. However, Year 3 is soooo simple and easy to obtain these high light rewards that it's simply a joke to reach max light. Not like you need max light anyways, once you get 390 you won't notice a big change, which is why I enjoyed the simpler times of Level 30-34. 1 Level difference made you feel either weak or strong. Year 3 is simple and unrewarding... Well it's rewarding, but it doesn't feel deserved anymore. We finish the raid now, and simply complain that it took 45 minutes and we didn't get the gun we wanted. Year 1, we got Exotics once-twice a week, now, because Three of Coins, we can get them 3-5 times DAILY! So yes, I hate Year 3. I don't have a Year 3 Icebreaker, I don't have a reskinned version of Thunderlord, and frankly I don't plan on going for it anymore.

 • Complains about how exotics are too easy to get. Then complains that they can't get an exotic.

 • It's not because I can't get them, I can, easily. I don't want to get them anymore because I lack the want to do so. Thought you got me there, didn't ya.

 • Nothing intellectual to say about it? Just calling me an old man? Well, my point stands then.

 • Not really. I could go for all caps to tell you this or that and get into a huge argument about your rather subjective opinion with ya. But instead I'm pointing out that your ramblings sound like those of an old man.

 • Why do you think Year 1 is the fan favorite, because what I said about Year 3 is true, it's to easy to reach max light, and the sense of rewarding gameplay has dropped.

 • It's really not though. Y'all need to take off your rose tinted glasses. Year 3 has: -more viable weapons, armor than year 1 ever had. Not only does it include almost all y2 and y3 loot but also lots of the y1 stuff has been brought forward -more activities than ever before Be it Kingsfall, Wrath of the machine, Challenge of elders or weekly vanguard/iron bounties. There's a plethora of activities -almost all loot is viable Due to infusion you're not forced to wear ugly shit or use certain guns just to get to max level. All y2 and y3 loot is viable -even more ways to customize your play Three new classes, new exotics and the iron artifacts give you more ways than ever to play exactly the way you want -a more balanced crucible Now be honest. It's not just two or three guns singlehandedly dominating the crucible anymore, it's archetypes, not gonna lie there's still work to be done but there's still way more viable options than previously -way more rewards altogether I'm sorry but in a loot based game, loot=awesomeness and unless you're some hardcore gaming scrooge you'll agree So yeah...drops mic

 • I'm guessing you implying you "dropped the mic" means you won? The thing is, who will play anything from Year 2 now? All of it next to useless, unless you want to infuse the weapons... which all suck if we want to bs honest. So, Year 3 is the same as Year 1, limited amount of things to do. Year 3 did one thing right, the light level system of +1-5. On the other hand, max light is a joke to reach, 385+ makes a very little difference either way (You'll do enough as a 385 that 400 isn't even required anymore). Too many activites get you to max light when in Year 1 it was simply... 1. Raid 2. Nightfall 3. Iron Banner (But only from vendor) Now in Year 3, every activity gives away max light stuff way to easily that it destroys the purpose to play after reaching 385+ and beating the Raid. As far as quality content as well, the only quality thing this Cash-Grab brought was the raid. The story was shit, the quests are shit, everything was reskinned content. So, Year 3 makes every activity from Year 2 practically useless, besides the infusion thing. Year 1, especially near the end, had everything useful in some way when ascension was brought into the fold. VoG and Crota's End were still played because they were good and fun, they also reaped the best weapons in the game, like the raid SHOULD do. The game has been stripped down primarily for casuals now. Also, you praising the meta couldn't be more wrong. While many things can be useable, you'll be handicapping yourself if you don't use the META, which is hands down only one gun/archetype. Clever Dragon/LOW Impact -HIGH RoF Pulses.

 • First off. You on the one hand complain about y3 being limited activity wise because the rewards don't drop at a high enough light...but at the same time complain about too many activities potentially dropping max light stuff. weird Then you go on about all weapons being shit...if there only was a way to receive the best possible rolls. Oh yeah! the grind...about the lack of which you just complained. Cause now the grind isn't about getting the exact same equipment as everyone else to get max light but instead to actually get the best possible equipment. And then you complain about how only one gun is viable (which is not true) while at the same time talking about how great y1 was when it literally was even worse.

 • The meta from Year 1 is no better than the Meta we have now, no meta has been amazing. Having less activities and too many max lights drops from activities are a bad thing. Also, I never said that the guns were trash, I said the Year 2 King's Fall and April Update weapons are all trash giving no incentive to do any Year 2 activities just like there is no incentive to do Year 1 activities now. Year 3 in a way has a better light system, but falls short in every other aspect. At least you aren't blind and believe RoI had a great story, when it didn't.

 • I wouldn't really go as far as calling the april update and king's fall guns trash, the problem just is that except for queen's choice and a select few other guns, you can get a y3 gun with similar stats, much easier than the y2 ones. While in y1 the raid guns came with pre rolled perks, making the raids the easiest way to obtain a god roll (e.g. fatebringer).
