I went from a relatively large clan that used to do 3x nightfalls 3xraids and flawless etc week in week out, and everyone except me quit the game when the TTK balance patch happened. It was the one when they absolutely decimated pretty much all weapons except for scout rifles (which are the only primary type that hasn't ever been rebalanced).
They nerfed Hawkmoon to the ground, they nerfed Thorn to the ground, Gjallahorn got destroyed, black hammer was destroyed, Red death decimated and so on. Not to mention the blanket nerf to all primaries. Ghost bullets added to hand cannons and the range was massively reduced. Pretty sure there was another pointless auto rifle nerf thrown in there. Oh and of course shotguns were nerfed in a big way, with shot package being replaced by some useless perk on your god rolled shotgun.
The rest of my clan quit the game in rage pretty much the day the patch dropped and didn't even buy TTK. I personally do like the game still though that's why I still play everyday. But I do have to admit, I prefer the days where primaries could actually shred shotgun rushers with ease (even when shotguns did more damage and had like twice as much range). The game was 100% less frustrating in year 1 IMO.
