A small percentage of the forums cried about wanting it. Bungie responded with a no and an explanation. Grow up.

Couldnt agree more.
-
If by small percentage, you mean vast majority want it gone, then sure kiddo.
-
Exactly, that's my point.
-
Small percentage? The entire first page of the first page was nothing but SBMM posts. To get trending people have to agree. If enough people agree, then it was not a small percentage.
-
Yes, small percentage. The crying minority liked it. Most people just passed them by and grumbled a little because it was just annoying. And I guarantee you that most people whining about it don't even know what SBMM means. They just jumped on the forum bandwagon.
-
well you're really bad at the game, so you don't see the negative effects of SBMM, but for actually good players we literally get punished for doing well. We get put into lobbies with a team of noobs and are expected to carry them. Someone who explains it rather well (who is also someone who I don't particularly like, but he puts it very well) made this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GBltFHQOVA SBMM isn't terrible for the majority of people, because you guys have ample population on your skill level. Once you get to the top 1% of players you're faced with very long queue times and laggy lobbies. How is that at all fair? In my opinion SBMM should only be in affect to the top 25% of players. Once you pass the top 25%, the population simply isn't high enough to support everyone. What this means is 1% players can and will be matched up against anyone in the top 25%, rather than the top 1-5%. This gives us not completely brain dead opponents, likely good connections, and faster queue times. IF YOU THINK SBMM IS OK, YOU ARE LOST. IT IS NOT THE COMMUNITY BANDWAGONING, IT IS AN ACTUAL ISSUE. YOU JUST SUCK
-
Why bother? These people will never understand because it does not affect them. They are bad. They sit in the bottom 50%. There's a greater pool of players there to be match with. These are the type of players who ask for carries to the lighthouse
-
very true. They don't gotta deal with the shitty part of it.

I'm sure that added weight to your argument.
-
It won't stay if people keep speaking out at the pace they are. And he didn't seem to quite understand that he was bad, so I had to say it as plainly as possible. Just making sure he knows.
-
Yes put that guy in his place! Now where are all the fat people or short guys we can also put down. Hey come to think about it all those people with below average intelligence are getting it easy these days. Why should we pay extra taxes to support them. :V
-
that's quite some interesting thoughts you have there, guess the schooling system failed you
-
Oh dear.

-
Glad I helped. This energiser mentality is what should the game, and life for others.
-
um, what?
-
So you admit that sbmm isn't a problem for most people, yet can't grasp the concept that most people don't whine about it? And you think that I suck even though I have more kills than deaths? That right there tells me plenty about your intelligence level, and I'm not surprised at all that you would rush to defend these childish crybabies. Thanks for the entertainment, pal.

Edited by Racho: 11/24/2016 9:26:11 AMhaving a 1.0 k/d (or barely over in your case) means you are an average player. Average in terms of skill is bad. You. Are. Bad. And the majority of people don't have a terrible experience because of it, but those same people can still think it's a problem that a portion of the playerbase is being ostracized for performing well. If this game had a high population to support SBMM I'd be all for it (but would still like a casual CBMM playlist on the side). And it is not whining, it is giving feedback about our in game experience. If no one ever complained, vex mythoclast would still be a machine gun in your primary slot. The fact that you can't distinguish between whining, and giving much needed feedback speaks about YOUR intelligence level. The fact of the matter is that this game has too little players and too many playlists to support SBMM. It's not even an opinion that it's harmful, it's fact that you get punished for performing well. EDIT: Also, looking at your most recent game history, it does not seem that you're a useful teammate whatsoever, so I retract what I said and you are now a below average player who is statistically average. https://gyazo.com/19c9887e404aef412431fca71226013c You went negative/even every game except for two lmfao

This right here^^^^

Edited by Dr Evil24: 11/24/2016 9:36:42 AMHahahahahahahaha! Way to try to twist logic and cherry pick data to try to support your theory. Are you a politician? Hahahahahaha!
-
Cherry pick? I just went to your game history and screenshot it. And it is not a theory. It is fact that once you get to a high ranking in what bungie defines as a skillful player, you get much laggier lobbies with much longer queue times. There's a reason every top player is complaining about it. Netdumas and other programs can track where your modem is being pinged from, and the people who do this find that people from other countries are consistently getting matched against them.

Doesn't explain why "remove SBMM" posts hover in the hundreds of likes... and the "SBMM is fine" posts are rarely above zero.
-
It's a loud minority. Thats kind of how they work.

Hundreds. Not even 1% of the community.
