No offense taken. As I said in a previous post, I do not place myself above others on who is most important to have good games. Bungie is currently in a bad place as the current architecture cannot be adjusted to please everyone. Cut SBMM and hurt the lower skilled, keep it and hurt the higher skilled. We have to accept that Bungie is not going to add a ranked play list or any other major change to MM in this version of Destiny. Hopefully in Destiny 2 major changes will happen (although P2P is most likely to stay). The only thing Bungie can do is to adjust the MM settings to be as good for the most people as possible. So which group is the majority? We players have no way to know since we cannot create a truly unbiased poll. Those that frequent the forums and Reddit are bombarded with anti-SBMM posts so it seems the CBMMers are in the majority, but that assumption is suspect since it is proven that more people will post negative comments than positive ones in forums like these. Also to me it looks like more and more posters are commenting against the negative comments. The only people that know the split is Bungie. Yes they want the players to be happy, but they also have to (unfortunately) make Activision's share holders even happier. So they will adjust their MM settings to get the most people to play their game. To me it looks like Bungie is keeping SBMM as is so I believe there are more players like me, or potential players, that SBMM works better.

  • I've read all your silly replies and you are being very ignorant right now Sir. Many people have stated to you that SBMM is what is causing you to get wrecked and you still insist on saying SBMM is for you! Baffling! I am in the top 1% in most categories and I have a ton of people on my friends list that won't even let me play with them due to SBMM, if I do, the opposing team will usually be comprised of the top 25% or top 50% and my buddies will get the piss beat out of them. The night usually ends in a lot of people being stressed and upset. Balancing Destiny pvp is ultra tuff I imagine but, SBMM in a game where you have golden guns and Titan Hammers in my opinion is not the answer. Sure with connection based match making you'll get a few lopsided games but at least they aren't as common as fighting the red bar brigade as current Destiny pvp sits. Anyways stop being ignorant and I don't mean that disrespectfully I mean that with sincerity. If your on Xbox One I'd be happy to show you around maps and give you pointers!

  • If you have read my "silly replies" you should have seen I do not take offence at the fact that I lack skill in PVP. I also have agreed that SBMM does make it hard to compete when playing with ONE of my friends when it is just me and him. I do not doubt it is hard for you to play with some of your friends, do wish everyone could have fun in Destiny. In a perfect game there would be ways for everyone to get a good experience in a match with all types of players. At the moment it cannot and if I was to guess this version of Destiny will not. Bungie will not allocate the resources for a game that is at the end of its life cycle. That is just not good business they are moving on to Destiny 2. My intent of this discussion is not really about me or you being right. It is just that there are different players that need a different system to enjoy the game. It is funny that in another thread I have had a similar offer to learn to be a better PVP player, which I have accepted. That is an encouraging fact that people in the community is willing to help each other. I would ask though to leave out words like ignorant, words like that are incendiary and can cause reasonable discourse to fall apart.
