I sure didn't ask for it. A majority of the community didn't as for it as only a small minority comes on here. Just you, and the other whiny babies of the community. In my 2 years of Destiny I have had connection problems. But guess what? It was when I had my console connected to the internet through wifi. A couple months ago, I connected an ethernet cable. 99% of lag and connection issues disappeared. I run into red bars rarely in the crucible and I am enjoying the Crucible.
Why don't, instead of yelling at Bungie, you yell at the lazy idiots who can't get off McDonalds wifi or run an ethernet cable directly to their console and screw us all over?

It has nothing to do with your internet connection..it has everything to do with a system that pairs you with people on the other side of the globe because of a "skill stat" that isn't defined well.
-
How is not defined well? It's your combat rating. They say it pretty clearly in the TWAB, and it's visible metric on EVERYONE's Stat Sheet. What details do the Combat Rating entail? Well, it'd be cool if they explained that, but it's not necessary. My CR is at about 97.00, which means I'm probably going to be weighed more towards a player who's CR is 105.00 than I am one who's rating is 85.00 when the concurrent user numbers are down. Such is life.
-
What details do the Combat Rating entail? Well, it'd be cool if they explained that, but it's not necessary.
Hence..not defined well
-
Hmm, I'm hard wired into my internet and I would see red bars in nearly every match. I'm just barely above 1.12 so I know it's not my "skill" forcing me into lobbies of players across vast distances. Perhaps what you should be saying is that there is a grip of players who are tired of Red Bar Gods and then there is, in your opinion, a "majority who prefer just to bend over and take it from Bungie no matter what they do to negatively effect this game".
-
It also depends on where you live. If you live in the middle of Montana anyone would expect you to have bad internet. Contact your Internet service provider if you're not getting the connection you want. Maybe you've just had bad luck with laggers. I sure don't see them often and have been playing for the entirety of Destiny. And yes, you better get used to "taking it from behind" because it is clear Bungie isn't going to do anything about it. At least for the remainder of Destiny 1. Get over it. Go play another game. I've played other games with much worse lag. BF4?

Edited by joey big guns: 11/23/2016 4:47:53 PM👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I'm glad you've played worse. Does that mean we should just accept that this is what it is and lick the dribble off the 🍆 of Bungie?? You can keep doing that bruh, I'll give ya a case of napkins to wipe off the 💦. Also, I live in Tx, plenty of solid ISP including the one giving me he best internet option they have, I still get lag.

Here's my problem. People complaining don't seem to understand what Bungie is doing right now. Why, from a business standpoint, would Bungie spend money, time, and resources on a major mechanic of infrastructure in the game when Destiny 2 comes out in less than a year? Why waste so much on a game that is going to be irrelevant. Let's not forget something else. As I recall, a year and a half ago people were complaining about the unevennes of matches. The forums were filled with "we want SBMM!" Bungie delivered. Now, people want CBMM back. There is this cyclical nature in the community that seems to make everyone flip their opinions on certain issues. Bungie's not going to flip flop on everything that the players complain about.
-
Edited by joey big guns: 11/23/2016 5:30:40 PMHaha. The only people complaining about the "unevenness" are the same ppl crying that that don't want SBMM gone. They're the minority of bottom feeders and the "few" skilled pvpons. The actual majority of Bungie players could and did fare well when it was CBMM. The reason they should be fixing this now is that when they do release D2 they can have the mechanics ready to implement into that system. Call it a "trial" run for Destiny 2. Lord knows those jackasses don't test their damn crap before releasing it.
-
They're already gonna have a trial run for Destiny 2. It's called the Alpha and Beta.
-
Funny they had that for Destiny...let me know when the beta ends.
-
How do you know it's not a majority? I'm just curious because you're doing worse than the OP did. The OP said we as in the people who asked for it. You said we the community and stated a majority. Even though I haven't seen any numbers on how many people support this or don't support it....
-
Edited by LxGhostSniperxL: 11/23/2016 4:03:06 PMAll you have to do is look at the replies to a post about SBMM. What, does it number, in the hundreds? Okay, so now how many people play Destiny? Bungie reports a few million active accounts (let's just say 4 million because Bungie said 7 million a while back and I doubt the game still had that many people). So, let's just say 1000 people complain as a max. Because I don't think any post about SBMM exceeded 1000 replies, likes, or bumps. 1000/4,000,000 * 100 = 0.025% So, less than 1% of the Destiny population is complaining.
-
But how many people don't reply? How many people do that are against this? It's seems more like a small percent are actually in the forums to begin with. The nuknber of remove SBMM posts I see give me the impression that it's about even, but I would prefer not to eyeball. So instead speak for yourself or people you know are on your side.
-
But don't you see? 40,000 people is 1% of the population. There is definitely not 40,000 active accounts on these forums. So, no matter how much I eyeball the numbers, it's still an extreme minority of players that is complaining.
-
But how many people post against it? How many people just silently ignore it? Infact you could go by upvotes too. I saw over 300 on a couple.
-
People don't post about what they don't have concern over. If you're a vegan and you post about not liking cheeseburgers, why should I be concerned with your opinion on them? Now if you post demanding that cheeseburgers stop being made because killing cows in inhumane, now you're stepping over a boundary you shouldn't have.
-
Again, I doubt it is more than 1% of the community complaining. Even if my math is somewhat wrong, I doubt the complaining is 5% of the player population.
-
This place does a lot of buying into it's own press. Here and the Destiny Subreddit believe they're solely responsible for every change made in the game.
-
It partially is. It's technically the only way for Bungie to get some of an idea on what's going on the game. However, the people on these forums are certainly not super intelligent game developers that know the exact inner workings on how to make a game and how to run a successful company. Sometimes, they just need to accept what is thrown at them instead of whining about everything. It's a game. If you're not having fun then don't play it. I'll never understand people that force themselves to play Destiny when they clearly aren't enjoying it.
