I got some free when I purchased the digital collectors edition of TTK before the collectors edition upgrade was announced for a lower price
-
So you had silver and you didn't spend any money on the event. And you got lucky. That wasn't my experience. I bought the Collectors edition at full price also. I never got any free silver. I paid full price for it too. I got the Hard Collectors, not the Digital. Does that mean you deserved free silver and I didn't? Makes perfect sense. -blam!-ing screwed by Bungie again.

The physical collectors edition received some physical goodies as well as the digital collectors edition content. Some users such as myself purchased the digital collectors edition just for the extra digital stuff while we already owned all previous content. That is why users who purchased the digital collectors edition during the first week of availability were reimbursed with either silver or emotes as mentioned in the weekly update sometime in July 2015.
-
I also got the Emotes as well btw. That was part of the all Collector's Editions. Or maybe you are reffering to some other stuff. Who knows with Bungie anymore. They lie so much its hard to get a single thing straight, especially if you go back in time to last year.

Edited by Kell of Kellogs: 11/1/2016 1:39:15 AMThis was something different. The hammer, sprinkler and circle glide were included with all collectors editions of TTK. To clear this up, this was from Bungie's thread regarding this https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/162453150?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0
Players who qualify for the Emotes or Silver (depending on your region) for purchasing Destiny: The Taken King Digital Collector's Edition between 6/16/2015 and 6/24/2015, should expect the following: Most qualified players will recieve 9 emotes from the Eververse Trading Co. These Emotes can be acquired from Tess Everis in the Tower Plaza or the Emote Collection. Qualified PlayStation EU-region players will recieve 2,300 Silver via the PlayStation Store. This Silver will be automatically deposited in your Destiny account upon character login.
Ok and your point is? How much is 2300 silver+ if you just buy it outright? $20. Now if you take the drop rate of the mask, the sparrow and the ghosts at 1-4%. How much silver do you need to buy to possibly get all of those items?
-
That would be around that much yes. I'm just saying it only took me about 6 ish treasures for the stuff. Hopefully your luck improves
-
I got the Physical collector's edition. And am stuck with all the stuff, that just sits and collects dust on my shelf. I would sell it on ebay if it was worth anything, but I don't think it is considering how many people have the exact same one sitting on their shelves. Really if Bungie had been transparent about the silver ahead of time, I may have purchased the digital edition myself. But then again, asking for transparency from a company that constantly lies to the consumer is too much to ask.

Edited by Unforgiven: 11/1/2016 12:57:36 AMOh wow. Amazing. A mentor is here to hype up Eververse and Microtransactions. How much did Bungie pay you to post that? I know they didn't pay you, don't answer that. The average drop is 1-4%. And free silver you got, well that was given out last year to buy emotes. I am pretty surprised you used it now. Seeing as how the free silver has been on your character forever. Now please tell the truth. Lying is bad. Did Deej or Activision make you post that? They literally must be making millions on this event, so they had to cover their bases.

And the hat just gets bigger
