-I remade the post with sarcastic title to get trending because my post was being buried like usual by Bungie.
-Skip to the end(Bold text) if TLDR.
Bungie needs to fix Festival of the Lost. And feels really like Bungie wants Destiny 1 to die a slow death.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past.
There should be other ways to get the Treasure stuff, not just buying the Treasure boxes. Even in Warframe, you can get mostly everything you want using in-game, not purchasing. Bungie completely ignores other micro-transaction systems, and decided to bar people completely from getting stuff, other than 3 free chances per account.
The Treasure bags should drop Legendary masks from last year at least. They went too far, because now people that spend $$$ are getting Ghosts with high stat rolls from treasure boxes.
And what some are spending money on are these Ghosts, and they are damn rare and look freaking cute. You literally just went and made it so people with $$$ can buy a bunch of stuff to improve their stat rolls. This is not even the main issue with Festival of the Cost. The problem is lack of new content.
The entire event is locked behind the paywall or the cool stuff in it. At least with Crimson doubles, we got the ghost for free.
Even my name is BYF is saying it, and he is usually #1 Bungie defender.
Literally no content in this update other than something that feels like work.
The broom is cool, but you guys need to add more content. Not just reskin shit.
Same thing happened last year before Call of Duty came out. You are basically forcing people to stop playing when Activision releases their next game. Are you going to introduce SBBM back so that Crucible sucks too, or some other thing that lowers drop rates on loot to put the Nail in the Coffin that is Destiny?

Bottom line Bungie. If you are listening. I know you bury my posts since I spam a lot, and troll. But anyways I still have legitimate opinions. The bottom line is: you should add other ways to get Treasures you want, through grinding or doing Crucible.
Why not let masks drop as rewards from Crucible? Yea make it rare, but at least its a fair trade. At this point you cannot fix it, but at least drop Legendary masks for us.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past. And the main thing is add more content to the game. All this time you spend designing masks, you can be making new enemies, new weapons, new missions. Masks are great, but if its the only content, it's not good content.
Look at the article from Ign: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/31/destiny-devs-talk-space-travel-pc-and-microtransactions - back from 2013. URK said they wouldn't nickel and dime us. But that's exactly how I feel with this Festival of the Lost Event. Almost the entire event is locked behind RNG Paywall. Why are you doing this Bungie?

1 ReplyI love how people will automatically defend microtransactions if the gear you can get from it largely leave gameplay unaffected. It's like MTs are automatically okay if they are cosmetic. The staggering defense of them here and the defense of REQ packs for Halo 5 are two prime examples of this. "Don't like it, don't buy it" my ass. All that's gotten us is a market with AAA games that are full of microtransactions.

Why is it people actually expect something good from these events? Do you think another developer has all of a sudden taken over the game? Bungie are full of shit when it comes to content, everybody should be well aware of this by now. Everything they have done since launch is to nickle and dime us bro.

3 RepliesMe: Bungie. How do I get the green sparrow during your event? Bungie: Well, you can earn three free crates. Once you receive them it's up to RNG. Me: Okay. Beyond that, if I want to grind 40 hours during the two weeks, what's my best bet? Bungie: Oh. After the three loot crates that are free, you have to pay for the rest. Me: Seriously? Even if I invest 5 hours a day there is nothing more I can do? Bungie: Nah. Go screw yourself. Me: Hey Blizzard, I really like your Halloween event but do I have to pay money for the loot crates to get the skins and emotes of this event? Blizzard: Well, you can. Or you can grind out and try your luck at RNG. But if you receive doubles of something, we convert them into coins and you can use them to purchase the items you want. Me: So I don't need to buy crates? Blizzard: Nope. Only if you don't want to play. Or if it gets close to the end of the event and you still don't have enough for the items. Me: Oh sweet. Blizzard: Yeah. Bungie should take notes.

Last year you could turn masks into legendary with glue. This year we have it even worse. +1 if you agree - repost

8 RepliesEdited by xDANSxTAxFACEx: 11/1/2016 4:15:36 PMif they shut down the post for that, I'll officially call em -godwinslaw!-. Hard to remain mild with such kinda fanboys, he should sell his car to buy all the destiny collectors editions from his local store, and yeah , of course, silver. I love this game, i hate the whole Bungie attitude surrounding it, greedy as hell, providing a ridiculous ammount of content regarding the price (almost the season pass price), and pushing our buttons with silver just to see where is our breaking point so they can rip us off as much as they possibly can in the future (as they incredibly stated themselves!). Bungie is the archetype of the big heartless exploiting company, I hardly understand how community managers can watch themselves in a mirror everyday representing this firm, being friendly to the people they obviously know they're ripping off (i mean of course i understand, they're just tools hiding disturbing stuff under the carpet).

24 RepliesEdited by Kell of Kellogs: 11/1/2016 6:03:43 PMEnded up receiving the Sparrow, wolf helm and ghost ghost within a couple treasures. Mind you I ended up with some free silver through a purchase. Also got lucky and got all the shaders right away. I liked the FotL this year and will have no problem purchasing more cosmetics

Stop spamming your crap thread around. If i want to buy some virtual crap, then I will.

Edited by Spaceman: 11/1/2016 1:38:01 AMPurchases were always supposed to be aesthetic only. Bungie crossed the line here. I'm betting as a test to implement more. No offense, but people are stupid. They will buy anything... I could care less if its with your own money, but the fact is purchasing this shit waters down the gaming industry. If you can't see it... then you're stupid. Games have fewer content then ever before. Content is held back for purchasable expansions. The best items are left behind a pay wall. I warned you asshats. But you refused to listen. Many buying this crap are ruining the gaming industry. Sad and shameful.

Most of them are masks from LAST YEAR'S event, which is a whole other topic of irritation, but if you didn't save them from last year, that's YOUR problem. It amazes me, that after a 5 month break, I come back here to see the same entitled whining! It's a worldwide holiday, nothing improves your light, and it's all entirely aesthetic. Why are you whining about not being able to get a mask that isn't productive to your game at all?

Edited by Unforgiven: 10/31/2016 11:45:51 PMHere are some examples of how Bungie manipulates news media. Look at this fluff. http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/727157/Destiny-Rise-of-Iron-update-Bungie-cheaters And here is real news about Rise of Iron which a decent news company is reporting @_@ Wow just wow! Destiny: Rise of Iron’s Launch Month Made More Money Than Original Game’s https://gamerant.com/destiny-rise-iron-launch-month-sales/ The truth is in the pudding. Bungie does not care about cheaters, but instead only cares about making more money for them and for Activision. They have not issued any bans. Nothing but fluff. Where is the official word about server wide bans of cheaters. Yep. Nowhere. Nothing like a shitty news update to shut us all up. When you have a post with 1000 plus likes on forums being pushed down by posts with 6 likes. Yep Bungie surely doesn't manipulate informations on its forums. This post is already on the third page yet with 170 likes since yesterday. Obviously doesn't deserve any light. Of course. It must be a useless post. Yep. I am done. I am seriously really angry now so I am raging so I am going to go do something productive. obviously this is a waste of my breath. Bungie is not listenening.

3 RepliesIt's just a game. They're just cosmetic items. Calm down, holy shit.

8 RepliesEdited by Elundis Core: 10/29/2016 11:00:13 PMI think TrueVanguard put it best with his critique on microtransactions. So this isn't my words, but I'll paraphrase him: "I think microtransactions are good for the game, if you really care, then you can put in some money. What I don't like is the delivery of them, and that is instead of having a menu style, where you pick and choose what you want, they have implemented a lottery style. I don't like this because it punishes those people who care enough to put more money into the game for microtransactions." I couldn't agree more with him, microtransactions are fine, people who want something can buy it and if you don't, then you don't have to buy in. But they take it too far as to not even give paying players what they want.

Edited by Unforgiven: 10/31/2016 10:15:01 PMVegeta would crush Eververse with one arm.
-
4 RepliesMy simple stance: if you defend microtransactions in a full priced game : you are the problem
-
3 RepliesPersonally, I want gambling laws enacted on this new form of micro-transactions. I have seen the news of how Activision made close to a billion on Black Ops 3 supply drops and how Bungie made a ton of money on micro-transactions for festivals and SRL. They must create a more restrictive law on how companies are exploiting us in a fully payed product and locking content behind it
