Birds in general are assholes.

I had a pet crow once. I rescued him after he fell out of his nest as a chick and expected him to fly away when he was old enough just like the other ones I had rescued. He could fly but not well enough to get enough lift to fly over our back yard wall. He ended up being a pet. He was smart, playful and lovable.

Maybe it's just tropical birds, but my experience with them is they usually find one person they like and suck up to them (with occasional outbursts of being a little shit), and are complete assholes to everyone else.
