So last night, I (lvl 383) did WoTM with a group of 360s, ranging from 362 to 368, and the run was god awful. They all said that they were "experience " and "know what to do" but we wiped on each section at least 4 times. the damage was piss poor and everyone was dying very quickly. Aksis phases was just balls. captains one-shotting people. no one knew what the balls that the servitors dropped was for, despite you know they supposedly beat the raid before. Phase 2 was just a nightmare. Extremely low damage, siva swarms killing everyone in 3 seconds. i think after 8 tries we finally got it down. it took us 6 hours to do a raid that everyone supposedly knew. ON THE OTHER HAND, the raid i did this morning, with a bunch of 380s, three people completely new to the raid, beat the raid in 1 hours and a half.
Alot of people think that asking for 380s+ people means other people is looking for a "carry."
I can carry people regardless of their damage, but i won't carry a bunch of lying 360s scrubs who doesn't have the decency to be honest with me and waste SIX HOURS of my time.

Light isn't that important. Player knowledge of raid mechanics, loadout, and skill trump light level. I beat VoG Hard as a level 29 back in the day, without Ghorn. I think we had three 30s on that random team. That was a big deal back then, if anybody in this thread even remembers vanilla Destiny. Yes, high light helps...but I'll take squared away 360s over random unknown 380s.
