[BUNGIE] UPDATE: Patch 2.3.1 Known Issues: BEAVER Errors and Nightfall Strike Specific Drops

[b][u]BEAVER ERRORS UPDATE 7/29:[/u][/b] Hot fix 2.3.1.1 has gone live on all platforms to reduce the BEAVER errors introduced in the 2.3.1 Patch. Nightfall Post Game Carnage Report Rewards are NOT impacted by this issue, nor is the Vanguard Heroic Strike Playlist. We have forwarded reports to the appropriate party for investigation, and will provide updates when available.   • Hello all, Issues causing the increase in BEAVER error codes have been resolved. We are now requesting all reports concerning Local Network Fireteam Join issues be made in this thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/210716770?sort=0&page=0 Issues impacting strike specific reward drops on the Dust Palace strike in the Nightfall activity are being investigated. Updates will be provided through future What's Up, Doc? entries.

        • So nothing new on this? Wanting to raid with a friend who just got destiny only to not let all of us play together...talk about a buzz kill! We were going to do the raid before the reset but had our hopes on something either being rolled back to allow us to play together, or a potential fix being applied today...but here we are :p

        • I've been having issues playing with one of my friends that lives about 3km from my house where if it is just both of us in a party, we have NAT issues but as soon as a third person joins then its fine. The other issue is that when I am playing with him in a fireteam, for some unknown reason it will make me lag really badly. I thought it may have been me but every speed test I do tells me I'm running anywhere from 20mbps down and 2up to 100mbps down and 10up so i have no idea why it is making me lag. I keep getting messages from people saying how I am teleporting all over the place yet my internet is fine. This issue only happens when I play with my friend, yet not when Im playing with two other people from opposite sides of the world. I received threats over PSN yesterday that I will have a package sent to my house and the guy called me buy my real life name because he thought I was lagging. Bungie...please fix this ASAP. It has gone on for too long.

          • Continuing to fix the issue? I am an avid destiny player. I help others in the game regularly and can't even do that. Me and my children don't need the game to connect but we did run together a lot. We both pay for PlayStation network and have 2 consoles in the same home plus an additional console at a different home. So that is 3 destiny games plus I was dumb enough to buy all the expansions prior to TTK. So total about $300 by now I have paid for bugs, beavers, constant booting out of a game that I paid to play. Well you lost me now and a lot of my mates/friends also. Will be cancelling rise of iron preorder. If I can work 76 hours between 2 jobs in 5 days surely you can hire a couple teams to work around the clock to do more then "investigate" the issue, right? How about a little less "investigating" and a little more "solving".

            • Hey guys, me, my missus and my son just cannot fireteam up anymore. Is there any ideas when this will be resolved? I have opened my NAT and DMZ'd a second console, but we cannot join up. I realise you will be planning to fix it. I just thought I would raise it so you know people are suffering due to this problem

              When are you just going to remove the patch and start again so we can play with our fireteams while you sort the issue out? It has been two weeks of not being able to do certain activities as fireteams are a requirement. Are you going to compensate the affected players for this loss of essential functionality?

              • Experiencing this issue when trying to join people from all over the world so don't think the issue is just for local networks, also can't matchmake into activities either so again points to the fact it isn't just local

                • Any chance you could provide us with an update, or tell my kids why they can no longer play destiny together, or why my son can no longer have his dad in his trials fire team? We spent slot of money on your game, even bought a second PlayStation for the privilege of local network play #destined for disappointment ?

                • Managed to get Lan game working, disconnected halfway through 41 heroic strike. Might be worthwhile tending to your backyard Bungie, instead of trumpeting rise of iron release, the only back in black I'm getting atm is screen lock. But I grant you it is black. And a big up for all the Guardians patiently waiting for u 2 fix this. Just get it done!

                  • I cannot join my brothers fireteam after this update. We are both wired and on Open Nats. This is ridiculous. We have had no issues since beta. Get rid of this current update its doing more harm than good.

                  • LAN is not working for me, total mess, all systems checkout, but missing Friend list, cannot join target player, really scrappy and patchy. Honestly network is killing the collaborative part of this game.

                  • So here I am thinking that possibly, just maybe today's maintenance break would be a fix to the "unable to join target player" issues, since it is affecting thousands.. Maybe bungee would resolve it.. Nope, not s chance.. INSTEAD, I start getting plagued with BEAVER issues I have not had up to this point.. Bungie, You need to get on this and stop holding your cards close (as you mentioned in one of your posts) and let the player base who this affecting know what the hell going on? "We are currently aware of the issue and are investigating" is a bunch of crap.. If I was a corporate customer and I got that response, you would feel the pain.. But since we seem to be only a small fraction of your player base, it seems like we get pushed off to the side with a continual stream of non-answers.. Is this how you treat the users or as you put it "guardians" of your game? In any corporate culture, something is better than nothing.. You are just driving your own nails.. So do us a favor, stop with the canned responses and let us know what is going on and the current state of resolving the issue. It's not like we don't know that this is a huge issue.. Maybe if we knew, individuals who are far smarter than the people working the issue can offer suggestions (not a dig, reality) and help you develop a better solution.. Just an idea.. But for now, me and my kids wait as we have no clue what and when we will play again as a family team.. Much appreciated.

                    • Ok, typically I'm not the type of person to complain. In fact, I'm typically the person defending the cretors and developers, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I've spent way too much money($1300) so that my wife and I could play [b]THIS GAME TOGETHER[/b]. I would very much appreciate being able to compete in Trials of Osiris this weekend with my wife. So, if we could move along with the fixing of this issue that'd be great.

                    • I can't receive any "red" notifications on the bottom right of my screen on the "more" section. Its been almost a week now i need help, i tried everything even clear the cache and verified if the notifications were on "on" in the parameters. Without those notifications it makes tracking my posts really hard Please i need help
