Should Destiny 2 include trading with other players?

they should do trading cause sometimes I get exotic gear for titans, but at the same time my brother is a titan and I want to give this stuff to him

I think it should just be like Steam trading. There should be some exceptions like both players need to be max level (or maybe just 20 so that people without Curse of Osiris can do it) and the power level of the item being traded (if it's a weapon or armor) should change to fit the player it's traded to. I don't think the trading system needs to be too complicated and I don't see any reason why it would break the game as long as beginning players weren't able to do it.

I think trading the prestige raid armour if trading is added is a good call

Ships, shaders, mods, resources and planetary consumables should be tradeable I feel.

i say limit the tradeing to maybe glimmer and resorces and it will work perfectly wont ruin the game at all

If they were to put in a trading system, it would have to be designed so A: both player get their items without a ripoff, and B: the trade has no possibilities of duplicating items.

If the trading was gonna happen, then they would need a trading system where both players have to except on both sides to make sure the person who is trading does not rip off the other person

1 ReplyTrading would be useful, but to have it, Destiny 2 would need a better weapon system. You can only trade exotics for exotics, leggies for leggies, rares for rares, etc.

Hopfully if there is trading it will be something similar to borderlands. Simple and easy to use. Maybe also add a party chat option within the trading so the players could better communicate.

Trading would be awesome, It would mean that If you got a type of weapon that doesn't fit your particular play style you could trade that weapon with another player who actually wants to use it and in exchange that player could reward you with a weapon that you actually want. I also think that a sub-economy formed by the players would be cool and really build a stronger community similar to the rocket league trading, minus the micro-transactions of cause. Imagine grinding all weekend and at the end of it you get rewarded with a weapon type which you don't even enjoy using, however by implementing a trading system it would mean that no matter what you get after grinding you are always rewarded, because no matter what weapon you collect you can use it to trade for a proffered weapon or perhaps strange coins or another currency.

1 ReplyMaybe if trading had rules like if I wanted to trade a exotic with someone and they would have to trade something of equal worth and NOT be able to trade quest items like weapons, armor, and class specific gear ect ect

1 ReplyI think trading (if allowed), should have some rules similar to what "Triple M" mentioned. I can see trading being a welcome part of the game, because it would allow players to help other players out a litte, if they had excess armor, weapons, and artifacts on hand. If there were certain perimiters set around this, and maybe even a certain level cap, than I think it could work..... or atleast let the players feel like the choice is there for them.

I'd say no. Unless destiny got a real player economy going, trading would be a mess.

For us casuals who have those things called "jobs" and "family" .... yeah. It'd be welcome. In fact, I'd say it's needed for us. But majority is kids that are these doughy things that hide from sunlight. Majority wins. :(

It could be done if done right imo. You should only be able to trade similar items. For example, you could only trade exotic for exotic. Legendaries should have more categorization. Like you shouldn't be able to trade Vault of Glass armor for vanguard armor. You should only be able to trade vanguard gear for vanguard gear, PoE gear for PoE gear, and so forth. There should also be some kind of cost and bounty. Like maybe you can only trade gear with 10 light levels of each other, maybe it costs 75 marks, or maybe trading resets the light level of both pieces of gear to 3. I feel like it could be beneficial and not have too hard of an impact if it's done correctly.

It can if built from the ground up to support it like warframe. It also needs about 4x the current amount of guns.

1 ReplyTrading will never be implemented. Bungie asked many developers like Blizzard and we're told that allowing trading was one of their biggest mistakes made in these highly played games. Yes, players may like it, but it is not ideal for a developer.
