Sorry, but regardless of how well thought out or well written your post is, you just turned me away from your side by trying to toss people who want to move away from year one legendaries opinions under the bus and play them off as "wrong" and "jealous".
If that's what you think, you really are pretty close minded and only hear what you want to hear, filling in the blanks with whatever you think will make you right.
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink. Looking at your post, I can't say its all good.

What he said was everyone should be able to play with whatever weapons they like, and y1 or y2 should all be relevant. If you don't like y1 weapons, you are entitled to dismantle them and never use them. If you are worried about PvP balance, well then his idea for a balanced k/d crucible mode with generic pre-fab balanced load outs like COD, Halo, Battlefield, or any other PvP game, is a fine solution for that issue. Not sure what your beef is though.

Even if a few details are off in the OP, or if you or I disagree, I'd still say on the whole I'd take everything he suggested. It's less flaws and less pain than what we live with now in the game
