I see a lot of talk about "thorn being back!" And yes, I have seen more thorn in crucible lately... That being said, I don't think any of them have killed me in... Well not since the REAL thorn meta.
So why is it the answer...? Because most people carrying one around either are bad with it or the weapon isn't performing how they insist that it is... So which is it?

It's a 3-4 shot kill, I think too many people using it now were those pussies that shot you twice and ran away lol.

I read that it is back when whole teams are using it (like in tournaments) because the DOT is preventing shield regen and is stacking. Running solo with it is not that effective. I've had the same experience- being hit with it, going "Thorn? Really?", recovering from the DOT and not dying.

I've only been killed by Thorn once and I was already low on health, so someone could have sneezed at me and finished me off. I think a lot of people are just suffering from PTSD from the Dark Below-era of PVP.

Most people are bad at this game in general... For those of us with working human brains and opposable thumbs it's a different story.
