I hit 304 before I set foot in KF (still only have one completion). Grind strikes with 3oC, do lots of iron banner, court of oryx can help a little. I'd say form your own LFG post and set your own requirements. You can get through it at 290 no problem. Just ask for chill people and maybe 2 that have some KF experience. It can be a fun experience if you can manage to put together a chill group with patience and someone willing to teach

Nice to see somebody responding with actual good advice. I agree with this post. I just hit 302 w/o doing the raid. I don't do PvP either. Do court of oryx, strikes, nightfall and pop 3oC. Once you hit 300 you have a chance at 310 exotics which you can use to infuse or equip. I've got three exotics since hitting 300...one was 290 and the other two were 310 which I equipped and jumped me to 302.

Thank you for the compliment. Friendly people are getting farther and fewer between on this forum. I was going to see if you wanted to get in on a beginner raid team I'm planning on setting up this evening, but then noticed you are Xbox :( Another helpful thing is that if you can manage to hit 311, all exotic engrams decrypt into 310's. That right there alone has helped me immensely to rank up a nice variety of guns and gear so that I can stay a higher light level AND have choices as to what I can equip. May I ask why you don't raid or do pvp? No hate, just genuinely curious

Thanks for the reply. I don't raid because I typically only have an hour or two max to play 2-4 days a week. I use that time for nightfalls and the weekly reset heroic strikes. Like most I have a full time job but my wife is in the medical field and works long hours so I need to watch our 1.5 y/o when I'm home, so can't commit to long hours with raid in the case my son needs me. I don't do PvP because again, I'd rather use my time on areas I know I'll enjoy. Plus I'd rather not get kicked around the crucible by some young kids...ha, my son kicks me around enough.

Ahh yes. Understood. I work anywhere from 55-60 hours a week. I don't have any kids, but even still, it's incredibly difficult for me to get a set chunk of time that I can dedicate to a raid. Kingsfall anyway. The other two can be knocked out quite quickly nowadays. I didn't even attempt my first raid until about a month after HoW was released. My RL best friend and constant fireteam member has several kids and it's even harder for him to get a dedicated chunk of time for a raid. I'm just now getting into pvp. I'm pretty terrible at it, but am learning and finally beginning to find it enjoyable. Cheers man
