Edited by Malphisto: 12/29/2015 10:30:10 AMI haven't seen any signs of Sol for a while now. From what I've been told, he's been acting more respectful lately. Always good to be civil. I finally ended up muting Carni after that whole nonsense with his "Civil War with Words" thread. Him and his troll friends who all pat each other on the back for essentially no real reason at all just proved themselves to be a giant waste of time and energy. And unlike War Priest, I have no intention on ever taking him off mute, either. I mean even when they lose, they still act like they've won. Its not worth the hassle and I've been advising others who ask about it to do the same. I mean think about it, what does anyone ultimately get out of butting heads with them? You have zero possibility of actually getting them to acknowledge or accept that they are wrong about something. Case in point, if you scroll through the comments of previous posts, you'll actually see the whole "I understand and agree with what you're saying, but I'm still going to have to disagree." Yeah, seriously. I'm not even joking about that. Meanwhile, Steve's own personal brand of hypocrisy is more hilarious than anything. That's really the only reason I haven't muted him, I at least get a laugh out of his antics. Kelly is muted too much for the same reason as Carni and Co., although with the exception that I'll actually take him off mute provided what he says is outlandish enough to deserve a Malphisto cameo appearance. Mainly because its just waaaaaaay too easy with him. I mean I kid you not, he actually sat in front of me defending Destiny from Luke Smith himself. Yeah, you read that right. Luke Smith said something "negative-esque" about the game and Kelly was essentially being like "you don't know what you're talking about." DUDE. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH HERE. LOL...... So yeah, I entirely agree with that assertion. But I think the main reason is because you have a LOT of the reasonable, intelligent folks bailing out of the game and not bothering anymore with the forum. I've noticed a rapid decline for our side, sadly. I think those of us who remain are more just too stubborn to accept that big business has defeated us with this game. ON A MORE POSITIVE NOTE! At least the war is showing considerable promise with many other games. EA is still the devil and Ubisoft isn't much better, but Activision pretty much takes the cake, though. I think anything with Activision's name attached to it should be viewed with caution and frankly just ignored. I mean, COULD Bungie still turn things around? Of course. But the real question there is, are they willing and or capable of doing what it necessary to do so?

Even after I stopped posting anything I have always come back every now and then to read your topics/replies. It's been through you I've felt I've been able to see an honest viewpoint on the current state of Destiny. I wanted to break my silence to say thanks for being stubborn for all of us seriously burned by Destiny.

You are most welcome, mate. ^_^ Hopefully, The Division will turn out better. I've been seeing some really good things with that.

Personally I've been super impressed with some of the local co-op games coming out, seeing as most AAA games have entirely abandoned the concept of shared gaming experiences. Or maybe Microsoft's right and it's only fair I invest in another t.v, console, online subscription, and copy of the game so I can play with a friend at my place...

My heart sank when I found out that Halo 5 didn't have it, because that's bad news in general. You figure if a large, well known franchise like Halo had kept it going then that would have supported the split-screen across the board for all gaming. But now that it has dropped that (and for the reasons that were given...) it seems to be more detrimental to the whole thing which feels like a fading concept. I don't agree that its a supposed "reality of the day" crap. That's verbal garbage. The only reason MORE people aren't playing Split-Screen is because its gradually disappearing from gaming, not because people don't enjoy it. And I used to be one of those hardcore Arcade Kids too. When playing games was much more of an actual social experience cause you're physically interacting with others and hanging out, eating pizza and drinking soda together. Those were the good old days.

Lol always a pleasure, Mal. I'm interested in where we all go from here.
