when I play a game like counterstrike:GO, why is that shooting (and sniping) feel so much more challenging than destiny (even when using a controller on PC or mouse and keyboard in destiny). People are quick to split hairs over definitions and labels, ignoring the point that everyone tries to make -- this game feels so much easier when it comes to gunskill and aiming. What is it about this game that makes getting kills so much easier than a game like CSGO? is it aim assist, bullet magnetism, or something else? please enlighten.

Because pc games have no aim assist whatsoever

Destiny has a slower TTK (with the exception of shotguns and snipers) which rewards players who take time to place their shots and go for the head instead of relying on reflexes alone although that is a part of it. CS and COD arent like destiny, their TTK is so fast you dont need to worry about hitting shots. IMO destiny takes signifigantly more skill becuase if you play someone who hits headshots and you can't you will be outgunned 100% of the time. My two cents feel free to hate :)

CS games have very unorthodox bullet physics, moving an inch will make the spread go everywhere (so you can't really circle strafe or anything). Gunplay in CS games is about "adadadadadadada" (moving left and right), positioning, and trigger control; you can't just rush people as you can in most contemporary shooters. Meanwhile Destiny (being a console shooter) has more aim assist and the bullet physics are more straight forward (ie they will go where you aimed them...most times). Try shooting an AR in CS full auto, then Destiny. The difference is night and day but it's not an AA thing only, it's the bullet physics. One's an arcade shooter, the other is CS. That's it. Trying to compare CS to Destiny (or any shooter to Destiny) is silly because every shooter out there has design, physics, AA, and etc. differences in how they're made.
