4 RepliesYour "proof" video is a simple latency lag. It's happening to me, often. The one match you can't get even one headshot with it and the other match every shot is a headshot. Even when you shot 1 meter next to the enemy. There are enough video's on youtube, where players shoot blindly and get headshots, specially with No Land Beyond. This only proofs that Destiny''s PvP should not be taken seriously.......untill 2017 when we'll maybe get Dedicated Servers.

3 RepliesBump just to state that ok, aim assist doesn't really affect the headshots, but as you said, latency. Vast majority have bad latency with others causing easy headshots, that's why you'll notice vast difference in use of snipers than any other special. It's why people can snipe you within a second of you turning a corner, whether standing or crouching. Not everyone is a pro sniper, but sniping in this game is easier than Quickscoping in Call of Duty, which is saying A LOT! The latency hit box cementation on top of bullet magnetism compounds it to where snipers are easy enough to pick up, use it in about 7-8 matches, and be on par with everyone else. So, in conclusion, that curved bullet theme? Yeah, it's actually true, because as long as you shoot within a second of the enemy turning a corner, you'll get the kill, all because of latency. So, until they fix that issue that's been going on since the beginning, snipers will remain the go to weapon of Crucible Guardians.

Good post man, everyone should give this a read!

2 RepliesMy favorite sniper is the party crasher tbh

2 RepliesSo I was wondering, I recently got a god roll Weylorans March with HH, Shortgaze and Snapshot? How much aim assist would that be added together?

Thanks for the great write up! It is nice to see somebody has finally compiled, and explained how aim assist and hidden hand actually work. There are too many people that complain about weapons, or sub-classes, being over powered, which eventually leads to the dreaded weapons/sub-class nerfs. Sometimes there is a real need for this, but more often than not these types of changes are implemented after too many insecure player's complain. Due to all the complaints, exotics no longer feel like exotics, because the less skilled complain about being killed by better players. People just can't accept that the reason they keep getting massacred is because their opponent is more skilled than them. So thank you for providing us with this great information. I'm sure people are still going blame their poor performance on external forces (i.e., over-powered weapons, aim assist, etc.) as they always do.

6 RepliesEdited by ChiIy: 3/13/2016 8:00:28 PMI'm a little confused about sniper bullet magnetism here, you say... "higher aim assist stat will simply allow you to track moving targets better, but WILL NOT magically pulls bullets into people's skulls" Then you quote Vraethx results- "there is almost no noticeable difference with and without the perk hidden hand with regards to reticle slowdown (basically with a lower or higher aim assist value). There IS a noticeable difference in bullet magnetism with an increase in 30-50%." Unless im missing something, both of these quotes are specifically about snipers and completely contradict eachother.

3 RepliesHi, Thanks for all the information here, but I hope anyone could help me with some of my questions: 1. Ambush scope reduces AA, so if a sniper rifle has a HH perk, it technically cancels/reduces overall AA, correct? 2. As you mentioned, AA has 2 part, does the bullet magnetism applies to/works on fusion rifles? Many thanks!

1 ReplySCOPE Aim assist hasn't changed, but base aim assist on TTK Sniper rifles has gone way up. The Iron Banner sniper has around 80 points of aim assist.

what is it about this game that makes getting kills feel so much easier than a game like counterstrike?
-
4 Replieswhen I play a game like counterstrike:GO, why is that shooting (and sniping) feel so much more challenging than destiny (even when using a controller on PC or mouse and keyboard in destiny). People are quick to split hairs over definitions and labels, ignoring the point that everyone tries to make -- this game feels so much easier when it comes to gunskill and aiming. What is it about this game that makes getting kills so much easier than a game like CSGO? is it aim assist, bullet magnetism, or something else? please enlighten.

6 RepliesSo just got 1000 yard stare with hidden hand and short gaze what would aim assist value be? 76 still ? Thanks for the information as well. Last week was my first trials and had so much fun since then been playing crucible a lot more. Been using snipers to practice also. One thing that bugs me is the shotgunners that come sliding in . Kinda need to learn how to slide and shoot also.

I agree about aim assist and that it is needed for console games and most ppl dont know how it work. But I dont find that the issue with snipers, of the hit me while I am move around with a double tap or head shot well played sir. The issue is when I have the drop on one and shooting himand he is able to turn while zoomed and hit me or zoom in while being shot and head shot me. There is an ezy fix to this and it is descoping. If you are get hit by 2 bursts or 2 shoots from a pistol you descope. Just my opinion Thx
