Just like I said, No Land Beyond was a headshot machine in the hands of top players. The level below those players could still pull off a kill streak here and there and maybe a clip worthy moment once in awhile. To everyone else it was a hunk of junk. If you didn't take the time to learn how to exploit the Titans' abilities to their utmost potential, they were underwhelming. The numbers don't lie. Even now with the influx of HoS bandwagon jumpers, most of these people can't handle Titan skating or know it's uses. Most of the time, they go negative trying to shotgun rush and just end up being flying pinatas. Defender Titans required teamwork to get the most out of their super unless you were playing against a bunch of dummies (or were one of those top 1% players). You also had to be willing to trade easy kills with Magnet Grenades for the chance to occasionally shut down a super with Suppression nades. At no point did I say any of the subclasses are bad. The ones that require a greater time investment to learn will always be underrepresented. In Year 1, that was the Titan subs. Please don't be silly and try to claim that any shotgun tactic was better than pre-nerf Blink-Shotty. Especially on Bladedancers after the Felwinter's archetypes became a thing.

 • That doenst mean they are underwhelming. You should really get a clear understanding of what you are trying to say. Just because they have a higher learning curve does not by any means they can't be utilized by players below the top 1% thats just foolish. Skiing is not a hard skill to pick up. Their nades are not hard to use and shoulder charge is easily mastered. Underwhelming and underrepresented are two different things. Underwhelming would mean it's skill ceiling is lower than the other classes which is just flat out wrong. They aren't as straightforward so most people aren't going to take the time to learn. Titans Y1 could and did do as good as other classes. Nothing about it was that hard to learn. I had plenty of Titan friends who maintained around a 1.5 K/D without being top 1% Difference in opinion I guess

 • Sounds like a difference in opinion on how to define underwhelming. When things take more effort, that's when they tend to be passed in favor of more effective strategies. Titans took more effort to be good with for the general game population. That also isn't to say that some people who were good with Titans, wouldn't struggle with Hunters or Warlocks despite them being widely considered the better classes. There is a degree of user competency to be factored in no doubt. Now with HoS, Titans have an easy mode that has attracted a lot of bandwagon jumpers. The original comment I made was in reply to someone saying that Bungie employees love Titans so much and that's why they're so OP now. If that was so, then year 1 Titans wouldn't have had the highest learning curve. That's all I was getting at.

 • I agree theY1 Titan required too much time to enjoy it. I main a titan now and love all subclasses but had no will to use it in Y1 because I didn't like the class.
