We don't owe them money... They owe us personally think about it.
As year one players we should be refunded all the money we payed for the original game, dark below and house of wolves because pretty much all the content in those have become redundant to higher level players.
Just think about it

I agree.

If you buy a phone that becomes obsolete when the new version comes out, you don't get a refund
-
Edited by JBO: 11/13/2015 12:24:26 PMEh that's not really legit. You played all that content year one for probably many hours. You likely got your money out of it and then some. You can still play all of if. Just because progression moved on doesn't mean they took away the content. Don't get me wrong I'd love a 300 light VoG, CE, and PoE. Complete with update light weapons and armor or all new stuff. You still cant be mad that level 30 VOG isnt droping 310 gear.

So if I buy a pizza and eat it, I have full right to get my money back? Seems about right.
-
If you buy a pizza and then the pizza company decides that pizza is now stale*
-
What are you trying to say?
-
You made an incorrect analogy We still have the pizza, it's that pizza is not relevant anymore due to the company's decision. Therefore stale.
-
Okay lets do another one. You buy a movie, watch it and enjoy it. Now it is not good anymore because you've seen it and new ones are for sale. Should the company give you your money back?
-
I still have lots of movies on videotape (to explain, for the kids: it's like high compression streaming but in a local box, that you put into a bigger box to tell it which 'prog' you want to watch) - I deserve my money back for those! I spent my money on the supposed 'high quality' video upgrade to dvd (like a game disk for movies) and now they are obsolete too, another deserving case of money back. I'm sick of spending money on stuff and enjoying it, only for it to be completely useless and obsolete after some time has passed! It happens all the time, greedy corporations making new advancements and better things just to cheat us hard working people out of our monies.
-
no because year one was basically a beta or as bungie puts it "a learning experience" that's like if a movie production studio gave you the cut scenes and then when they come out with the movie you want your money back because what they originally sold you was irrelevant and a far insuperior project
-
Too bad life doesn't work like that. I would always ask my money back.
-
inferior*
-
Exactly this, I have never seen a game that has had an expansion do this. What was Bungie thinking.
-
Lol you've never seen an mmo?
-
Destiny is not an MMO. It's a FPS that is trying to hang out with the MMO crowd without doing any of the MMO work.
-
I never said that destiny was an mmo. I was just saying that he's probably never seen an mmo because they tend to ditch their old content:D
-
Yep I know what you mean. Good example is Runescape if anyone's heard of that
-
It is an FPS SSMO: First person shooter Small Sized Multiplayer Online It is not an MMO by any means. You can't call 3-6 player fire teams and 12 person matches "massive".

Edited by Ve7n00m: 11/13/2015 10:46:45 AMIt's like going to shops, buying the ingredients to bake a cake, baking it and then the shop taking the cake off of you, putting different icing on it, a few sprinkles here and there and then selling it back to you for even more money!!
-
No, no it isn't.
-
Edited by Ve7n00m: 11/13/2015 1:13:46 PMYes, yes it is! You buy Destiny (ingredients) you level up your character, acquire guns and armour (cake) Bungie takes it all away from you, puts icing and sprinkles on it (year 2 Destiny) you buy it off of them for more money!
