It should be like Kephri's sting and work on any class. Year 1 invis was only in bladedancer tree but with the sting you can go invis in Gunslinger

How? It's an armor, with a secondary function that allows you to apply another class's ability. Sounds almost the same.

Nope. Nope. Read the wording. KS gives a spelled out ability to go invisible. It may work the same as Stalker, but it doesn't say "grants Stalker". On the other hand, GF states that it grants a specific perk (Shadestep). The only other case that matches OP's question is No Backup Plans giving a Force Barrier.

That's different though. Sting doesn't specify that it adds the perk like graviton. Graviton specify's that it adds shade step.
