The perk does just say 'grants shadestep' so you would think it should.
Edit: I was just trying to gather an opinion on whether the description suggested it should in fact work on other subclasses. I'm guessing the misleading description is why they changed it. On a side note, some of these comparisons are hilarious, keep them up.
Edit 2: some people seem to be getting offended that I was trying to gather opinions. It's just a game guys calm down.
Edit 3: Had to edit the title for those very special people. Also, so many idiots comparing this to wearing the impossible machines and having landfall for other warlock subclasses. :')

Waiting for all the it would be op from sunbreakers.......
-
Would be nice
-
Its just people that think they better then others and dont value someone opnion bro it sad to see the idiots craping on peoples opnions everyday then agin im sure destiny has alot of kids on lol
-
No since it's grants access to a node on a skill tree. Exotics should not give nodes to sub classes they are not a part of unless stated in the description.
-
No. Because then other armors that grant perks would need to be balanced to add a perk to subclasses that aren't built to work that way. I'm horrified of a sun breaker with death from above or (more) unstoppable.
-
No I need a reason to use other exotics
-
Probably not considering how helpful and good it is on crucible, you can literally roll around corners out of danger with it! It's so good but imagine it with blink? I think it's fine as it is in all honesty, no need to give people another reason to complain :D
-
As of now its an awful exotac
-
It doesn't?
-
Yeah so everyone can blink then shade step with shot guns
-
I'll admit, I'm a Titan main, but holy shit no. Can you -blam!-ing imagine a hunter with blink and shadestep? I'll be the first to admit that Sunbreaker needs a nerf, but that shit would be overpowered too. Compared to invisibility, shadestep is leagues above. That being said, I don't really think the Khepri's Sting is broken for that reason alone. Any player that knows what they're doing couldn't be stopped.

5 RepliesEdited by Luphrie: 11/4/2015 10:20:20 PMSo should Sunbreakers get Unstoppable with Eternal, should voidwalkers get landfall with machines, Should Symbiot give nightstalkers 4 shots then 7 with quiver should Nothing Manacles make Vortex Grenades follow people? No...

Edited by ginga28ninja: 11/5/2015 12:13:53 AMImagine sunbreakers Titan using the force barrier gauntlets year 2. Getting a shotgun kill and then activating their super. Ya no

2 RepliesBlink and Shadestep *Equips Shotgun and Scrub Glasses*
-
Shadestep GG would be intense. Titans are gonna get Twilight Garrison and warlocks will have the Astrocyte Verse. I think it would be a decent maneuverability counter for hunters when those finally make it in the game.
-
Why not? Its cool
-
I think so.

2 RepliesEdited by J-Buijs: 11/4/2015 10:08:30 PMYes, just like khepri's sting does
-
Edited by abelsinh: 11/4/2015 10:19:32 PMShadestep is a perk in the NightStalker perk tree... The Helmet grants that perk. Of course it can't be granted if the perk isn't in your currently equipped subclass...
-
Edited by Destro_Night: 11/4/2015 10:17:49 PMI think it would be cool. I see why it doesn't, the text says it "unlocks the shadestep node for free" and the other sublasses obviously don't have a shadestep node, where as like, the kapris sting says you gain invisibility after crouching. Rather than saying it grants that specific perk, even though it's the same thing. But it would be cool. Cause the shadestep is pretty fun.
-
4 RepliesKinda like how you could rock gunslinger but still go invis with those gauntlets, kepris sting?
-
This is how it should work
-
Blink, shadestep bladedancer. I would play the shiz out of that lol
-
1 Reply*imagines a shade stepping bladedancer* ...... *orgasms*

8 RepliesLol, well when "Shadestep" is only in that specific subclass, why would it unlock in other subclass skill trees that don't have Shadestep?
