The arms that gave squat invisible for hunter worked on bladedancer, so it would make more sense if the shadestep worked on other classes as well

Shadestep is an actual ability. Those gauntlets only make you invisible while crouching. Think Frodo and the ring when he puts it on. If they granted something like 'blink strike' this would be true.

While I don't agree with the post in general, the sting actually grants all subclasses two bladedamcer perks.

You mean the extra damage when striking from behind? It's sort of like Backstab although I think Backstab is a one hit kill. I remember it used to read that it poisoned on melee which I was looking forward to. They must of changed it at release because when I finally got one it was just extra damage.
