That's the gist. A few dudes thought it was cool. Some other dudes saw it and wanted to do it and it spread. Most hunters in year one were female.

I never understood how people got into that trend, but to each their own I guess.

Yea doesn't bother me. Before I knew anything about the game I made my 2nd character a female hunter. 1/2 for their super in crucible, and 1/2 because I thought there was an advantage to picking female based off of how many I saw.
