Try sniping in real life. There is no skill involved in sniping in a video game.

Ide like to see this guy play triple wreck or krafty, considering it doesnt take skill to be good in a video game, he should have it in the bag.
-
One shot body shot in real life takes no skill. Sniping in real life takes no skill
this is satire.
-
Oddly, I'm a far better shot in real life with both rifles and handguns. I can't aim with a controller :(
-
No shit it takes skill in real life.
-
So than you've never missed a sniper shot in this game...
-
I have missed, yes. It's not about skill. It's about hand/eye coordination. Sniping in real life takes skill. You have to take into consideration wind, distance, visibility. This is skill. You can't compare the two.
-
Both take skill
-
Idc how good your hand eye coordination is, it doesn't guarantee that you can just pick up this game and instantly be a pro sniper that's just dumb to think
-
Anyone can snipe in this game. Just like anyone can equip any gun and shoot and get a kill. It doesn't take skill.
-
Edited by MrPoPo33: 10/21/2015 9:36:02 PMI've seen kids 1st and 2nd hand who can't snipe for shit in this game, there's a million people on the forums who willingly admit they can't snipe for shit This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard And it doesn't matter if you can get 1 kill for 100 deaths, it's consistently doing good with it, if you have a 90% sniper headshot ratio guess what.. you're more skilled than the guy with 50% ..common sense And before you say it's all hand eye coordination (dumb) I've met dudes who are good athletes (obviously takes great hand eye coordination) and suck at this game You're basically saying this whole game takes no skill which makes no sense at all and just makes me think you suck and you're trying to justify your sucking to yourself
-
It's a video game. Not real life. Like I said anyone can equip a sniper and kill someone with it. Try picking up a real sniper and killing someone with it. You can't, because it takes skill. Shooting in a video game requires no skill.
-
This guy is probably shit at sniping
-
Nope. Because it literally takes no skill to snipe in a video game
-
Lol you've hardly played any crucible judging by your stats, and when you did play you sucked at it. If it didn't take any skill you'd probably do a lot better buddy.
-
I don't snipe soo yeah. How did my stats become involved in this. I thought we were talking about sniping in general. Why would someone stats matter in a discussion? It's a video game. Nothing takes skill in a video game. I play to win in crucible, I would rather win with a shitty k/d than lose with a positive k/d. I really don't care about k/d in a video game. It doesn't make my life any better or worse if I have 2.0 or a .98. Will I get a better job because I have a 2.0 k/d in a video game? Some company is not going to ask anyone in an interview if they have a positive k/d in a video game.
-
Tell someone who's never played a video game to pick up a controller and snipe somebody in this game.. it's laughable, like what do you think they're just gonna be no scoping heads? Lmao are you that delusional I think you just started this argument to try to sound cool because it literally makes less than no sense
-
People do it all the time. You never said anything about quickscoping in your thread and neither did I. I just said anyone can equip any gun and get kills with it. It literally requires no skill in a video game.
-
Ok but to do GOOD as in 2.0+ KD it requires... do you need a hint?
-
You never said anything about getting/maintaining a positive k/d in your title or thread. You actually went on about aim assist. I'm responding to your actual thread in which you state that sniping takes skill, to which I disagree with in a video game. Again, anyone can equip a sniper and get a kill with it(no skill). Regardless if they have never played a fps before or not. If they can do it against enemies in the game they can do it against player controlled enemies. No skill.
-
Anyone can pick up a real life sniper and inadvertently hit their target based off of luck. Now would that be a valid argument to then say therefore it requires no skill??
-
Anyone can kill anyone in a video game. No skill involved.
-
Therefore the fact that anyone can kill anyone in real life = no skill in reality?? This is seriously the logic you are appealing to?
-
We're talking about video games. Not real life. Anyone can equip a sniper and kill someone with it. It takes no skill.
-
No, we are talking about both. . . Comparing the two to be exact! My point is that your reasoning is flawed, you have given no good arguments to support your claim that video games take no skill. Maybe you just have a profound misunderstanding of what skill is.
-
OP asked if sniping has lost its element of skill. To which I replied that sniping, itself, takes no skill. Anyone can equip a sniper rifle and go into crucible and kill someone with it. No skill. Now you guys seem to think that either a). I'm bad at sniping, or b). That it doesn't take skill to maintain/keep a positive k/d. None of which I ever stated once. Sniping in it of itself takes no skill, aim, shoot. No skill.
