What!!! How about all the f-ing pulse rifles??? They should rename the event to Iron Pulse rifle. I don't see many shotguns on most maps.

Yep. This week has been a steady parade of Red Death and Hawksaw. Bungie just never seem to be able to get the balance right. First it was autos, then hand cannons and now its pulse rifles. The next Year 2 exotic I buy out of the kiosk will be Red Death, that's for sure.

Game theory. We will always find the path of least resistance and exploit it. No stopping it.

I dunno. I've been playing Battlefield for years and have never seen this kind of imbalance there. There is no obvious gun/loadout to use. There is a wide variety of weapons and classes to choose from and you see a pretty even spread among the players. But in Destiny if you weren't using Thorn/Last Word/Hawkmoon during Trials you were at a distinct disadvantage. This time around it will be Red Death/Hawksaw or some other pulse rifle. Bungie's sandbox guys need to start pulling up their socks. Every time they try to balance the meta they simply create a new must-use weapon.
