Only time it is rude is if you are intentionally screwing it up (such as shooting all the exploding thralls for the hell of it when they aren't near the Ogre in that fight. Or taking the sword on the Tier 3 fight and not actually using it on the boss...) Otherwise, those guys in there were just massive dicks.
