Hmm, either they were idiots, they wanted you to leave because the court was full, they wanted you to invite one of their friends, or they were just having fun with you.

It could happen. Pretty sure you only need 9 guardians for a full court. Too bad it probably never happens but it could.

My original agreement still stands. The court could have been full because he was there. One player takes up 3 slots in patrol. He could have taken slots 7-9. The other players might have wanted a chance for their friends to find them but he was ruining that chance.

You can have 9 in a court. Done it multiple times. A few times just with randoms.
