1000 yard stare + Sleeper Simulant is still a higher DPS loadout. Comparing one weapon to another, without also factoring in the trade offs made in exchange for equipping those weapons is short sighted. Tell me a weapon that you can equip with Black Spindle that will achieve the same overall damage as those two together...

I could be mistaken, but the raid sniper requires precision kills, not shots, to refund the magazine. Which doesn't actually help you at all.

No I think you misunderstood, the black spindle does require precision shots, however if you would like to use another exotic, say the sleeper then it is best to use the raid sniper, not because it replenishes ammo like the black spindle, but because it has the perk cacoon. This perk means that basically you can clear all of your ammo from the sniper and then switch weapons without reloading the ammo, if you switch back after 5 seconds the gun will refill itself. The primaries also have this perk so what I like to do is use the scout, sniper and an exotic sword and you literally never have to reload, it's awesome.

Very disappointed afterwords. I personally prefer my spray n pray 1000YS. And I stash Thunderlord for the dps race to the end. It's convenient that the reload speed is just enough time to step in an out of the weapons bubble

Yeah I get that now. There is a difference between cutting off reload time (black spindle) and swapping between loaded weapons.
