Shouldn't you be comparing it to another heavy, since that's the slot it occupies?

They're both Taking an exotic slot. I'd rather have the Black Spindle with the Raid Machine gun then SS and Legendary sniper.

Missed the point. They are exotics but still different classes of weapon.
