The truth us out there, search the landscape he says....
The effort that was put into finding the sleeper especially over at r/searchforthesleeper is unreal. Bungie just let everyone spend countless hours of research and exploring just to laugh at us. This is the biggest disappointment in any game I've ever played. It couldve been so much better than a time released event. I'm still going to play but damn what a let down.
Bump if you agree so they know that simply time stamping a quest is unacceptable and just another artificial way to increase playtime
Edit: bungie said to look so the community did. Had they said nothing i wouldnt be as salty but they said it was out there and thats what bothers me

They've been laughing at us since we've been throwing money at the screen...Next is Emote Kiosk for REAL $..They are going to ROFL and probably die from laughter cause its so pathetic and funny that they are str8 up giving us the Oryx(1 in the pink, 2 in the stink)disc locked content, time released content.. all this waiting around just to deny the inevitable....
-
Did you figure out the steps by yourself or was reddit/youtube/bungie forums the cause of your findings?
-
Maybe it was based on the fusion rifle parts turned into banshee. Once he got x amount it was released to the public
-
Lies... From Bungie... This really came out of the blue.
-
Yayyyy more innovative time wall quest! Woo hoo
-
At least for once it seemed to be something that brought the playing community together. It's been awesome seeing people help each other out. That's what this game was like in the beginning before the forums got insanely toxic.
-
Lol you got trolled

I think they released the mission sooner than they would, cause they didnt want people to waste anymore time researching
-
I don't think they would have released the mission if the boys over at Reddit hadn't basically exposed every tiny little detail of the mission through data-mining. I think we'd have a much longer wait on our hands. They didn't artificially increase playtime by making us wait about 2 weeks after the release of TTK to release a new quest.
-
"Hey boss, I put in so much extra effort into my job even though no one really forced me to, where's my extra reward?" "Sign this pink slip and walk out those doors, your reward is outside."
-
Buuummmmmppp. Not to mention those ammaazziinngg missions with all that dialogue that totally didn't feel like it was made last week
-
Would you feel better it was never in TTK to begin with?
-
Well there was a clue in the bunker showing that we couldn't do anything till a later date.
-
We had to find those 4 fusion relics, so Bungie gets to say that's why they let us "keep looking"
-
Except the mission didn't appear until after it was figured out. Do we know if they were watching and waiting to edit the code? No. Do we know if it was time triggered? Not really. What we do know is that a quest is triggered, and we're all running around trying to get it done. No need to be salty.
-
How is this their fault, the people searching for it did it to themselves, Bungie never told them to go look for it, and to be mad that Bungie didnt tell them to stop or change it from a timed release to be able to find it by searching just to please those looking for it is kinda stupid.
-
Shut up already, who cares. Go outside lol
-
It's better than them just coming out weeks ago and saying it's time locked. I agree saying "look" isn't the right word but it's better than spoiling the mystery altogether.
-
I agree with most of your post, however the one part we disagree on is your comment about artifically increasing playing time. I play based on quests. If this was previously available I'd have done it, but now that it is live I have something new to do. What I'm basically saying is that my total playing time would be the same. Now if you want to argue that this is keeping people involved with Destiny longer then that is a valid point.
-
I bet if the codes were different for everyone and you had to go find them you great explorers and theorycrafters would be -blam!-ing moaning about it. Bungie can't win with you pricks.
-
An I the only one who sees time walls as good things? Seriously, if everything was available day 1, people would complain on day 2 that's there's nothing left to do. This way, we're a month in and still finding cool shit
-
Perhaps a certain amount of players had to find the relics? A community wide search?
-
It was pretty crappy of bungie to tell people to look for it when they knew it was time locked. They essentially told people to go waste their time.
-
and it's still locked beneath a time wall. We didn't get the whole quest today.
