Let me just ask you something here.
If you nerf the armor the sunbreaker gets (Which btw all 3 titan classes the same armor) then what separates a titan from hunter? Titans should absolutely be able to tank stuff better than every other class and if you remove that then you are weakening what a titan is all about.

Armour as a class no armour during super would be
-
The easiest way to solve this problem would be to remove damage reduction from every single classes super. If people are going to complain about titans being tough to kill then remove all damage reduction. That simple. You know what happens then. Titans will still take extra damage to kill over the other classes and then the problem continues but what will you nerf then? Hmmmm?
-
Then only hunters should be able to do activities without a fireteam since we're the only lone wolfs. Titans could sit behind the walls. That's what the characters are all about...
-
Because Titans already have high armour. Giving them 66% damage reduction on top of that creates issues especially when they kill you so easily. I mean golden gun can kill you easily, but you get no damage reduction and 3-4 shots. Titan you can throw 7 hammers and you can tank damage. It's broken.
-
I don't know where you pulled 66% from but it certainly isn't sunbreaker
-
Well it's higher then all the other supers. I believe sunsingers get 50% with the extra Armor perk but still Sunbreakers have higher...
-
Not the armor stat. The damage resistance in super.

Maybe write them an email?

Edited by handheldbrandon: 10/2/2015 11:19:12 PMThese are the same guys that buffed thorn into retarded status and then left it that way for a long ass time while it dominated every pvp mode in existence and did nothing about it.. Excuse me for having no faith in THAT team. Btw Defender takes 3 golden gun shots. 2 for the shield and 1 for the defender. Striker takes 2 shots when he is using his super. Why can't sunbreaker take 2 shots? Also go look at Mongerlshadows post he did the testing himself and provided video proof that it CAN be killed in 1 shot unless you are stacking armor to the max.

He does take two shoots

Maybe this is all a smoke and mirrors tactic to distract us from their laggy terrible server problem ?

The difference is a defender won't chase you round the map vaporising anything and everyone that gets in its way, tanking rockets, nightstalker tethers and golden gun shots.
-
Heheh, that's an awesome way of putting it.
-
Never hear anyone bitching about the free kill that is a ward of dawn. Never heard any hunters calling for it to be buffed
-
No he will just sit on an objective and force you to blow your super to remove him or have you run inside where he just kills you anyways. Supers Kill Other Supers. It may take more than shot but they are the best counter besides running away (which any smart player does anyway).
-
Using the Defender Titan's shield kind of makes your argument somewhat invalid. Defender's sole purpose is to- guess what?- DEFEND. So yea, the shield should be able to take more damage than anything else Guardians have. :I
-
Fist of Havoc and Ward of Dawn are both immobile, instantaneous Supers which offer high damage reduction during the animation, or offer damage reduction only if you're using Armor of Light. Hammer of Sol is a mobile/offensive Super which offers the damage reduction of immobile/defensive supers. It's not good balance.
-
That right there. People NEVER think.. I swear..
-
Fist of Havoc is NOT Immobile..... Also Ward of Dawn is the weakest subclass in PVP bar none. There is zero competition. It has zero kill potential. If you want to talk about not good balance lets talk about how hunters have 3 supers which each have extremely high potential for multi kills on every class? It is not uncommon to see a gunslinger get 3-4 kills every game from their super alone and blade dancers as well. Nightstalkers can easily lock up to 3-5 people with their super and also suppress their super and remove any chance of escaping. It is literally the single most powerful utility super in the game bar none. Btw if you stack armor on your blade dancer were you aware that it can survive a golden gun shot as well? Why arent you screaming for nerfs that or how sunsinger can also tank a golden gun with radiance on?

Edited by Erijian: 10/2/2015 11:44:48 PM
Fist of Havoc is NOT Immobile.....
Immobile meaning that you can't move during it and it has zero kill potential unless you're close to someone; it's a one and done Super. Nova Bomb is the same, except you can choose where the damage zone happens at. You're still immobile during it. Ward of Dawn is the same since you just place a Bubble in a specific spot and it stays there.
If you want to talk about not good balance lets talk about how hunters have 3 supers which each have extremely high potential for multi kills on every class?
Hunters have mobile Supers, aside from Shadowshot. Mobile Supers are better for cleaning up spread out targets while those one-time use Supers let you clear a group of players in a specific area. Players don't always group up on one spot, so it's obvious as to WHY Hunters get more kills with their Super. Shadowshot, while having the potential of crowd control like FoH and Nova Bomb, also has some mobility potential as you can cast it three times using Quiver.
Btw if you stack armor on your blade dancer were you aware that it can survive a golden gun shot as well?
Cool story, got proof or are you just pulling things out of thin air to try to defend the Sunbreaker class?
-
Mobile Supers are better for cleaning up spread out targets
So thats okay for a hunter but not a titan right?
-
Where did I say I wanted the Titan to be weaker than the other mobile Supers? I said I wanted the damage reduction to be IN LINE with the other mobile Supers.
-
What is the point of playing THE TANK CLASS when a hunter does it just as well? You see the problem there?
-
Show me where and how titans tank damage. One stomp from a boss kills them just as fast as any other class. The words Titan and tank should never be used together in this game. Ever.

Edited by Erijian: 10/3/2015 12:04:24 AMOh, you're one of those guys who thinks that there are supposed to be "Tanks" in Destiny. I'd hate to break it to you, but the fact that we can spec out our subclasses negates that argument. Bungie wanted us to be allowed to play how we wanted; a Sunsinger can be just as tanky as a Sunbreaker if they choose to be so by running maximum Subclass armor and using Radiant Skin. The original "bars" we started with just showed which class had better synergy with certain types of builds; Titans will always have the easiest time having high subclass armor in builds when compared to Hunters and Warlocks. It doesn't mean they're SUPPOSED to be the only tank class of Destiny, they just have an EASIER being tanky and are capable of having the most base HP of any other class by one or two points.
