"Just Tether the Sunbreaker!"

Nightstalker's Shadowshot needs a slight buff where hitting someone directly with the bow automatically Suppresses and slows a target, instead of waiting for the Tether to activate. I know I could've shot it past the corner and maybe caught him in it, but I wanted to prove that the Tether takes too long to activate. Hate me all you want.

    • Imo if a night stalker hits anybody with over shield it should tether them right away, but let it still have the small delay for people who didn't get hit by the void bow

      Listen to the podcast kotaku did with Luke Smith. It's episode 2 of kotaku split screen if you want to give it a listen. It's an interview with Luke Smith who was the design lead on TTK. The interviewers asked 'is sunbreaker overpowered in pvp' Luke's response was 'I believe that the sunbreaker is allowing players to preform above their skill level, and the damage resistance is just too much'. Bungie user research also confirmed that sunbreakers have the highest average KDR out of all the subclasses. Look, when people complained about thorn that it was overpowered, people who used thorn as a crutch defended it. Same with blink. Blink and thorn got nerfed. It's going to happen. I understand if you are less skilled at pvp and you are having more fun because you have a significant advantage over other players, but having an imbalanced multiplayer only hurts the game. Eventually everyone will switch to sunbreaker to do well. Trials and iron banner is going to be renamed hammer time. And that's not going to be a diverse and enjoyable multiplayer.

      • So I hit a Sunbreaker directly with my arrow today. Not only did he [i]not[/i] die, he kept his Super [i]through[/i] my tether, and was there, hammer ready, the moment I respawned. I'm not usually the guy who cruise Nerf, but this needs to be fixed, or balanced, or something.

        • 100% agreed I've also noticed there's a damage reduction it's low though. In mayhem I shot a guy using shadow shot with mine but he on lost his shield and I died o.o

          • Well I do believe it has abit of delay.. let's say if it's a direct hit it cancels the super straight away but if you miss than yeah gotta wait till it tethers.. Maybe that's a good way to fix it With the other supers (mainly sunbreaker) I've heard alot of players sook about it being "too op" and tbh i find it fine.. It's a super! It should be op...

                • What sucks is if you get tethered while on the ground you are a sitting duck because you have no way to shoot the tether. But it makes sense because sunbreaker is really strong. ( and my main is a Titan)

                • I run sunbreaker just to troll people in crucible and wow the tether is a pain in the butt. That stops a hammer spree dead in its tracks haha and it cancels yhe super on a titan

                    • Titan bubble doesn't pop up instantly. Nova bomb doesn't fire instantaneously. Maybe void supers are the problem.

                      • The time it takes my hammer to leave my hand and hit your extremely fast, nimble little frame, you can fire 2 rounds into my giant rocklike body. In the part of the game that justifies PvP, which is PvE, the reason we "train against each other in the crucible, Titans are slow and have much more armor than the other classes. In PvP, you maintain your speed and have equal armor to Titans, we don't get to match your agility. It makes sense that we should have armor boosting abilities because Hunters and Warlocks gain equal armor and maintain speed, Titans lose our natural armor. We have to make a sacrifice in order to compete in PvP. Why should we be required to make another sacrifice? Nobody asks for things to be nerfed in PvE. All the nerf demands stem from PvP. We have to adjust to being equal armor and slow. You can adjust to our supers. You still have wicked range and GG velocity. Kill a titan with 2 shots and save your team mates or cry for a nerf and break titans again. I main a titan and have shut down plenty of Sunbreakers. I outmaneuver them while spraying them down. Remember, there is a trade off to everything. What we have is all we got. You have abilities that allow you to evade as well. No nerfs are needed. None! I dont ask for blink to be nerfed or shotgun melee or shotgun sliding. I get one shot all the time by snipers when not in super. If I break your kill streak, start a new one!!! You requesting a nerf means that the game has changed and now it is challenging you. Just learn to deal with it. I deal with plenty of bs in game but I don't want a nerf. Can't we all agree to disagree?! Train to fight, fight to winGuardians!

                          • Nice shot, mid-air takes skills, sucks that he still hammered you even after a direct hit. I hope Bungie see's this and decides to make the suppression instantaneous on a direct hit. Everyone should watch this video and bump this post, again nice shot both with the bow and video.
