Do you miss reforge?

Yea, I loved it!

It created a bad meta of op weapons

No to reforge, I'd like more led. weapon drops

I know reforge was a double edged sword. On one hand it allowed you to make your gun best for you and on the other it allowed everyone to have op shotguns. I personally liked it and thought it, and HoW, took alot of the boring grind out of destiny that made me stop playing destiny when it first released. TTK is still way better than destiny at release a year ago I do find myself not wanting to play because I have finished all the pve stuff and don't have yr2 weapons that I like to use in the crucible. Also there isn't a reasonably fast way to get the legendary weapons I want since, at least for me, ledgendary primaries never drop But that's just me, so I want to know what others think now that we have return to the old grind of hoping RNGsus bless us with the roll we want every time you get a new gun.

  • Lol, i cant wait till iron banner and trials, where no one is using their year one weapons anymore and everything is finally balanced. plus with the shotgut range nerf, this will be hella interesting. Im a fusion rifle kinda guy. only weapon i use in crucible and my stats are proof. lol my medal score ant good guess i never played crucible much except for iron banner all last year. but i am playing it a lot more now. :( i miss my pocket infinity. was my very first exotic ever in the game a year ago. still is m favorite. was a power house beast that made me top some of my fireteam bddies who do crucible religiously. we always won iron banner back then. then the fusion rifle nerf came :''''( many tears were shed. never played much crucible after that. and the shortage of special ammo nerf didnt help. but hey, i have found some pretty good fusions already. while i play with PI regularly, i still knew what was a good fusion rifle with good stats dependng on playstyle. fireteam called me the fusion rifle guru. but i wasnt lol. just did my resarch on the differences of perks and stats on those guns. btw omolon makes some hella nice impact and stability ones. i got one with a good balanced charge rate and a range buff perk. which makes it perfect for rangd accurate fusion kills. just aim at the feet after charging a lil. boom gone

    • I despise RNG. I want to make a legend that is not randomly determined. The odds of me getting the sniper rifle I really want is nearly zero. If I by chance do get something close it will be outdated by the next dlc within the week and I will be forced to hunt again. It's true the old reforge system ruined the replay-ability of the loot based system for many. It also unbalanced the crucible with op shotguns. Which I argue is more balanced than running into a team in trials that have god rolls that you will never get. I believe there has to be an system that allows a player to make their own legend. Whether that be perk infusing. You spend materials to remove a specific perk from a legendary weapon( destroying it). After collecting five or so it's charged as can be applied to another weapon in the correct slot for more materials. Option to prioritize RNG Choosing a specific weapon class to be dropped more often. For instance you are looking for a fusion rifle you can choose fusion rifles to be prioritized. Once selected, equip, or purchased (could be a 24 hour consumable buff) all weapon engrams/ drops have a 25-75% chance to be a fusion rifle.

      • I liked it but I would only roll for the best perks so I didn't use half the perks that were in the game

      • I enjoyed it because you could roll your weapon to suit your own play style. Yes I understand that Bungie wants us all to play the same way with no diversity but Rerolling was a great boon.

      • I think random weapon rolls is a funner and more exciting mechanic. Being ultimately somewhat more balanced. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of re-rolling weapons but I'm perfectly fine with the old way of getting randomly rolled perks. Too bad they removed it from Iron Banner weapons.

Reforge should stay exclusive for iron banner weapons

          • The reforge idea has it's ups and downs, but it takes away some key aspects of destiny. The main is being excited for a weapon drop. It also allowed everyone to have extremely over-powered weapons with amazing rolls. This caused an unbalanced meta. The concept was great, but in a game like Destiny it's something left in the past.

          • I think the New reforging that they are going to implementing is going to give more standerdized perks It will be used when you get weapons with horrible perks to be able to bring them up to a more even set of perks. The problem with the old reforging is you could take an already great weapon and then roll the perfect perks onto them and IMO the vast majority of players could not be bothered to constantly reroll weapons as it was boring as all hell. If they also reforge the stats on weapons with perks than a lot of people might not want to risk a weapon they have with great stats and 1 good perk as they might end up with horrible stats and all average perks . They could also let weapons only be reforged one time , so it would be a 50/50 chance you get something better or worse .
