The door isn't open for me on my second try. Anyone know why?

Did you wipe at any point?

Yes I did I restarted and got there quicker without wiping and the door was open. Ended up beating him and got the Black Spindle as well as an Omolon Scout Rifle. Pretty glad I saw this post

I ran the daily heroic like normal, then afterwards I found out about Black Spindle. Ran it with 2 friends, they both got it but I didn't because I'd already ran the Daily.
