Guide on how to get Black Spindle (hidden exotic sniper)
May only be gotten as the daily mission. If you missed it you have to wait.
*Recommend at least 290 light and 3 fireteam members.*
Run all the way through the mission to the ogre in the crystal room. And I mean sprint. End of the mission. Just follow the objective.
Once at ogre, kill him as fast as possible.
Sprint to open two of the doors with the relic orbs.
Again, follow the objective.
At the third door, go to the door for the taniks strike.
It should be open.
Run through the door and up the lift.
You have 10 minutes to kill all the taken on this ship.
You have to kill all the taken in each area to advance to next area.
Once you get to the room where taniks was, you have to kill a boss.
Kill the boss as fast as possible. Otherwise taken continuously spawn. After the boss is dead, you must kill all the remaining taken before the time runs out.
KILL THE BLIGHT ORBS WHERE THE TAKEN SPAWN FROM IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE BOSS
If you kill them before, they re-spawn.
Very tough fight.
The white nail perk is the new white nail perk.
Everyone in fireteam gets it.

6 RepliesTried a few times last night, killed boss however ran out of time killing ads...this morning tried again...and the door to start the mission will not opened, killed the Ogre and made it to the door very fast....Is it still available today, the quest door will not open.

17 Replies[b]For anyone having difficulty with the mission:[/b] This can be done fairly easily Defender Titan + any other class if you have swords, we 2 manned it killing the boss in 40 secs and having 5.15 to left to kill all the adds. We ran a 297 Defender TItan + 298 Stormcaller Warlock. Text + video strategy: Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhACwkbcpcc The first 2 rooms where you need to kill the Taken are fairly simple and straight forward. Kill them off as fast as you can, not really too much to explain. The last room with the Taken is probably the most difficult part with Drivikis, the Chosen; but you want to kill the boss ASAP. With a Defender Titan running Blessing of Light it makes it fairly easy, you can just bubble up on the platform where the boss begins and sword him to death rather quickly. We killed it two man using this strat and had the boss dead with 5.15 left to spare to clean up the adds, spending about 40 seconds to kill the boss total. Take down the big black balls after this and the rest is just clean up duty. We were light level 297 and 298 for this; neither having raid gear.

3 RepliesIf the Exotic is only available as reward in the Daily version of this strike, then I'll just have to bulk up my Titan. I was 295 last night but had a 293 and 289 in my team. Had a 295 and 286 in the other team...still couldn't win. We lacked the adequate strategy for the boss fight. The adds owned us so hard but we did get close. Next time, the Black Spindle aka Black Hammer 2.0 will be mine

I'm on Xbox 360. I'm a warlock with 292 light. Really want to do this. Need 2 people that can help me out. I've killed the boss but couldn't kill all the adds in time. Would like 2 people who have done it. Please help. Gt is same as name.

Failed the first few times then came back. Went and got Darkdrinker and came back to tear through the adds. Had 9 minutes at "Taken Taniks", had one focus on adds, had two popping Taniks. If you're a Nightstalker or have a gun with a similar perk to Keen Scout, put it on for this. Even while blinded, doing damage marks him so you just keep shooting in the direction of the mark while your buddy clears adds around you. Had 3 min left at the end. Tough at first until you get it down.

Here's how I did it,at the boss just FOCUS ON THE ADS ADS ADS ADS IS THE KEY!!!as soon as you come in murder ads doesn't matter how many believe me there's no sense in waiting for the psions to multiply and take u over its way easier to kill them,and don't just kill the kill them like your life depends on it,because it does,the only time k beat this is by doing this,there's just simply no other way.

Also for anyone not running swords my team and i focused the waves on the left and right killing the blight orbs that spawn and then killing mobs. Then did damage to boss, by the 1:45 mark the boss was down and we mopped up, it seems to be in waves for the spawns and if you let it go unchecked you will get over run in the back
