Though I understand you're position, I will explain why it is highly unlikely that the situation will change. The content which any Vanilla, TDB and HoW user is now locked out of: -Daily Crucible Event (Almost certain to not drop in Classic playlists) -Daily Heroic Story (Though Pre-TTK content is highly likely to be used, light level requirement can't be achieved without TTK) -Weekly Heroic Strike(s) (Though Pre-TTK content is highly likely to be used, light level requirement can't be achieved without TTK) -Weekly Nightfall Strike (Though Pre-TTK content is highly likely to be used, light level requirement can't be achieved without TTK) -Strike Playlists Up to Level 28 (No longer selectable besides the Level 20 Legacy playlist) -Iron Banner* (Almost certain - but unconfirmed - to be using TTK maps, level difference would make this immensely challenging regardless) -Trials of Osiris* (Almost certain - but unconfirmed - to be using TTK maps, level difference would make this immensely challenging regardless) And what I assume is the content you wish to have reinstated: -All Crucible gamemodes in HoW form (or 'Classic' form); Control (incl. HoW maps), Clash (incl. HoW maps), Rumble, Skirmish, Salvage, Elimination, Inferno, Doubles -Trials of Osiris (Level 34 and below only, drops HoW gear) -Iron Banner (Level 34 and below only, drops HoW gear) -Daily Cruicble Event (Specific variant for Non-TTK owners only) -Daily Heroic Story (Level 34 and below only, uses Vanilla, TDB & HoW missions only, maximum difficaulty of Light ~150/Level 30) -Weekly Heroic Strike (Level 34 and below only, uses Vanilla, TDB & HoW strikes only, maximum difficaulty of Light ~160/Level 32) -Weekly Nightfall Strike (Level 34 and below only, uses Vanilla, TDB & HoW strikes and modifiers only, maximum difficaulty of Light ~160/Level 32) -Strike Playlists (Level 16-28 with Vanilla, TDB & HoW content only) Put in simple terms, for those people who do not own TTK, replace the current event structure with HoW structure, and upon purchase upgrade to current TTK structure. I think thats perfectly reasonable. But here's why Bungie won't do it. They're encouraging you to buy TTK. Now, you're initial remark about them lying about locking out content does have some ground here, as they did say that non-purchasees wouldn't be left behind, which clearly is no longer the case. I believe this was said in reference to Year 1 DLC's only, and not for Year 2 and beyond (I expect TTK players who do not purchase DLC's 3 and 4 to be carried forward, but for Year 3 it is entirely dependant on how Destiny 2 is going to be, so too early to call). Hands down Bungie's fault for not making it clear to the playerbase that this was the case, they have no leg to stand on here. With that cleared up, back onto why they won't change it to Pre-TTK; effort, time, and money. Though they could do all I listed above, they are no longer getting any money off of Pre-TTK players, so why would they support them? Yes, if they followed what they have previously said to bring non-purchasees forward this would have been done, but as they evidently won't be, they have no reason to. What they're instead doing is bleeding out you're patience and causing you to feel inclined to buy TTK at some point. It's subtle marketing, and allows them to focus more on current and future content rather than keep modifying old code for left-behind players to use (though none of us other than Bungie have any idea how much effort this would take, so I won't make an assumption here). I'm more than happy to support the game and have bought TTK because I enjoy Destiny, and therefore I get these additional benefits. TLDR: Bungie should have stated that Year 1 players would be brought forward through Year 1 DLC's only, and correct what was previously said, despite the fact they shouldn't have changed their minds in the first place, and that it would make little business sense to not encourage a player to purchase TTK. EDIT: Forgot to mention Pre-TTK Vendors and Bounties, add those to the list of things you are now restricted to.
