Rewards straight up suck and are not worth the time investment and honestly it just isn't fun.
Have completed it multiple times and it gets less fun every time.
Finding a group is ridiculous, everyone either will only take experienced players or they want to be carried through it. When you do find a group it seems that it is always two guys that have non maxed weapons and sub par gear and they wonder why it is so hard.
It is honestly just a hassle with no real reward.

Totally agree. Especially the unlevelled gear. Just boggles the mind. End game activities highest challenge for pve should really only be attempted by fully level led gear at the highest lvl.

Except that because there is a time limit on this and you can only get one e.l. for sure per week in pve it's forcing people to attempt it as they are. Then because there is no check point and you're gear sucks it takes FOREVER just to get to skolas. Then you beat your head against a wall against him for hours. Then after 8 hours of lame ass POE, you get him down to one last rocket and some cheap bull shit gets you wiped. I know if I keep trying me and my friends that I run with will beat him, shit gear or not because we play well and have good communication. However the effort in time and energy with the lack of a Cp make it just artificially difficult to get done. We don't have 8 hours every day to make the go at it. One attempt per week, one EL per week, no Cp, and you have limited time to get done. -blam!- you bungie.

Limited time. How has been out for 6 months. Plenty of time to have fully leveled gear and weapons. There is no excuse for it. Sure the mechanics are long and tedious but you are better off leveling up your gear and weapons than bashing your head against a wall for 8 hours. I've completed the lvl 35 Poe in an hour with competent players on first attempts and I've helped under levels and ill equipped guardians in 7 hours. It's in your best interest to be ready and leveled before hand.

No shit bud, and way to assume I've been playing since how came out. I played vanilla and stopped before either expansion, just came back maybe a month ago, two at the most. Since then I've earned damn near all year one exotics, completed both raids multiple times and have a titan and warlock set from both along with my fb, bh, corrective measures, etc... So thanks, but I haven't had six months to do all this. In the short time I've had though I've done EVERYTHING else this game has to offer on pve. The ONE thing I haven't gotten done is skolas. You see why I think it's broken....

That is on you not the game. You had 4 weeks and an iron banner so you should have had around 15 etheric light to use and full sets of armor for lvl 34. Even if you only had 4-6 weapons fully upgraded the rest on armour upgrades you still should be fully geared. Just saying you are really making it hard on you and your team.

Maybe you didn't notice how I said pve in there. Pvp should never be a requirement for pve and vice versa, so iron banner can kiss my ass. Here's yet another issue, why is it easier to get e.l. in pvp (literally can just -blam!-ing buy it at rank 3) when it's primary use is pve. The artificial time constraints and difficulty are NOT on me. They are on bungie. My fireteam and me are making another attempt tonight/tomorrow and will most likely beat it (we have max gear this week) so this really is moot to me anymore but it doesn't change that it's been by far more of a pain than any other content in pve. It's poorly designed, the rewards are crap, and the progression to get maxed out is the dumbest shit I have ever seen in any rpg. There is a reason this form of 'progression' shit is changing in TTK, it's broken!
