Why have so many people not killed Skolas?!

4 RepliesI think it's just lack of good leadership. Sure the checkpoints aren't ideal, but that's just another challenge in itself, and honestly not a difficult one. I beat Skolas once, the only time I ever tried level 35. We maybe died 4 or so times @ Skolas before we got him (and we had a weakfish-sauce level 33) but I had a good fireteam leader who explained the process: rotate around the edges of the map, stick to the 2 hideouts, know when to ignore Skolas and when to focus on adds, communicate clearly when you get poisoned or whatever it is... It's all about communication and knowing what to do, when to do it. And not getting discouraged when your team dies. I'm not saying it's easy, but [i]patience and knowledge [/i]seem to me to be he biggest obstacles.

Because many hear that it isn't worth it and really.....it's not....yet. Or the fear of not being good enough and pissing off your team mates. I tried it when it wasn't using lightswitch and it was still hell. Luckily it was 2 bladebancers who could stealth the the mines part and a 'lock with res so the team could live to fight another day. I will say that it feels awesome to down him and is the most rewarding kill since Atheon the first time. If you haven't, try it once and make there is no lightswitch during the battle. In truth he isn't that hard. Just don't lose track of who takes the poison next. Quodron is much harder.

Then is fair to ask why you have a 1.1 KD instead of a higher KD. Same goes for why do you only have 2 characters and not 3. Or why you have a lower grimoire score than the rest of us. Get my point? Probably not... It's simple, not all of us are the same. Some people are more skillful than others or some people have more time to dedicate themselves to a video game than others. Honestly your "fairly" question is pretty stupid.

I am not sure but frankly for the people that do not have him done i am vrry happy they do not get the emblem they have had months now to work on it. And before people jump on me saying things like "Maybe we could not find a group" that is so bot true you probably play crucible or strikes during the times you could have been looking for groups i promise you that if i hopped on the recruitment section right now i could find a couple of guys or girls and have it done in two hours. So for the people that do not have it done i guarantee it is from them just not being motivated.

If your team sucks it literally takes hours to beat him sometimes. I remember when the burns were active it took me in total around 12 hours between a bunch of attempts to beat him once after they patched it and had spawns for the enemies it took around an hour and a half to beat the whole thing. Again depending on your team and communication as well.

8 RepliesIf u haven't beaten him u can cheese him under the platform on the right. Only a reaver captain spawns from there and he can be shorties pretty easily and its great for passing essence because you don't have to run around map only time u leave the hole is to do mines

I've killed him but I can understand why people haven't. It sucks and the rewards suck! The rewards should be better!!!!

I play about once a week. The weeks I am not doing a raid, I'm generally doing some other bounty or leveling up gjallahorn which I just got. I never had time to LFG a group to do skolas. Maybe I will do it next year.

6 RepliesBecause all my friends do it before I do, and then don't wanna help. And when they don't do it, they say that they're sick of not getting anything. Selfish assholes. I ran the Nightfall EIGHT TIMES on one character with the guys that refused to help me, yet no one remembers when I'm nice, as long as they get their Exotics

Damn, i thought most people were like me: have all triumphs but won't bother to look for the last few(6 in my case) golden chests. Skolas? Beat him twice and 1 time was pure torture, the other wasn't quite as bad. This was back on solar burn which i still think was harder cause his teleports could botch the run instantly. Then you're waiting to fill up heavy etc etc... it was not fun. To be fair i really found no pleasure in any PoE event. I just wanted to get etheric light and the armor cause i suck at pvp lol
