Cayde-6 is rasputin????
Just a theory guys. I was reading a bit of grimiore and came across the rasputin ghost fragment 1 card. Have a read of it. It's of how his friend use to say that if cayde could just remember that he is rasputin and remember his full power, he would be able to save us all.
With the coming of ttk and the supposed increased involvement of cayde in the story, do you guys think that it could be possible that cayde is really rasputin.?? Maybe somehow after the collapse rasputin managed to backup itself within cayde and put up a block in his memory.?
Again this is just my own theory. What do you guys think?
Edit-i know cayde says it's a joke but I do still think both cayde and rasputin are connected somehow.

I think Cayde acted as custodian of Rasputin at some point. He seems to have spent a large amount of time down there. Maybe he thought he was just exploring but really he was going through motions he did when he worked there? He clearly doesn't remember it but then his thoughts are shown to be pretty muddled in his journal. Another thing of note. "You have the same frequency that got me inside." Do we? Cayde say's we do but we never do get to check. Rasputin lets us in again. Cayde admittedly knew a lot more about Rasputin and his inner workings than anyone else seems to.

The remains in skywatchers near the Jovian complex speak in the same voice as xur and say something like A million more deaths are not enough for master rahool. Go and check it out, if he is that would explain why he is such an evil trolling character. Hopefully we could get a new cryptarch.

We all know Cayde was human at one point, but he has 6 memory wipes for six lives. Cayde was human scientist helping make Rasputin or a guard at the facility that talked to Rasputin. When human Cayde died, Rasputin took made an exo firm based off Cayde's persona and became a guardian? Just a theory.

Nope Cayde was a human before he was an exo. It has been confirmed that some humans uploaded their conscience into exo bodies. After a bit of experimenting and towards the end of the golden age humans probably started experimenting with exo and tring to make a true AI. That's why in Cayde's book that came with the CE edition shows a face that's half human and half exo then a face that's full exo.

I think he helped create the Warsats, with Rasputin being the Best. I believe this as Cayde is very Knowledgeable with alleging a Rasputin. There's also a scan in the Vault talking about how someone had been getting past the retinal scans for hundreds of years now. Cayde has admitted to being in the bunker for stealth codes.

I think cayde-6 is the exo embodiment of long john silver himself. In the collectors journal there's a diagram showing a human. Head inside the exo skeleton. Perhaps cayde was an important human character from the past and his exo form has kept him alive.

Maybe in one of the five previous 'lives' cayde-6 had he was close to Rasputin somehow.

29 RepliesRasputin is a hyper intelligent AI which accesses several super computers and Warsats around our system. Cayde-6 is an Exo, which is a war-machine which gained sentience, but when certain things are remembered they must be wiped. That is what makes the number next to their name.

3 RepliesIt's definitely possible, his memory has definitely been blocked. If you walk up to the gunsmith enough times he'll say "How many times has my memory been wiped, 41…42…43?" and his name is Banshee-44, notice the 44. Cayde [i]is[/i] an exo and has number in his name.

3 RepliesAs far as the lore specifies, Exos are completely separate intelligences from Warminds. The purpose of an Exo is to be a war machine, Warmind's purposes were likely strategy, system hacking and monitoring the solar system. The immense amount of computing power Rasputin possesses requires him to have a fairly big room and quite a large mainframe. It may not be possible for Cayde's platform to even bear the amount of information Rasputin possesses.
