Tbh the I want my old gear forever logic is annoying. Now, in terms of armor, if they had some type of style/vanity/transmog system that would be cool, because looking however you want would be nice. I want new weapons, in a sense, why make new ones if you only want what you already have? If I knew that we would be fighting oracles for the rest of the game, I would then be on the same page, but I don't think that's the case.

But I want to use alllll the weapons. Any gun for any play style for any mission. I don't want to be restricted based on what year content I'm playing

I understand you, but that's why they have weapon archetypes. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the no exotics left behind, I think an exotic should aways be useful, or then what's the point? But the legendaries too, that's crazy, evolution is key guardian.

Guess I should have clarified. Exotics and [u]special[/u] legendaries (Iron Banner, Raid, Queen's Gear) that you earn, not collect. I worked hard to get that gear and I want to be able to use it as long as possible (looking at you Word of Crota)
