Thanks for the feedback. I have made the dev team aware of how you feel. I can't make any promises other than that I will continue to make them aware of how much you care about your Year One gear, and would like to take it with you into Year Two
The "no exotic left behind V3." Thread
Not only do he respond to a post that's been taken down twice before, but he had genuine concern and he even said he talked to the dev team.
... He isn't a community manager:He is a fake!(since usually they give us no info or responses)
But seriously, I'd like to personally thank Cozmo for giving a reasonable and well made response
My opinion:I didn't really care that guns were being left behind, it's what all mmo's do. But that even in a controversial and down voted to hell thread, he still responded for once.
664 replies? When I went to sleep it had 20!
Now we're at almost 900!
So many damn likes, I don't get it!
You're welcome. Thanks everyone for sharing your feedback. I promise to read as much of it here as I can and make sure your opinions are heard by the right people. I can't make any promises on what will be changed, but you can look back at the last year and see a lot of things that were asked for by the community added to the gam
Welp, Cozmo replied. That does it, thanks for the response, the message got to him. Thanks to everyone who liked this post and gave feedback
Edit: Now I see that he responded to a Carlton dance petition saying that he'll pass it along:THATS THE BEST DANCE! Thank you Cozmo

1 ReplyIf their primary reason is that they want us to "use new things" then they're misguided. We don't need them to tell us what to like. Personally, if I had to pick and choose, I'd say at LEAST to allow year 1 armor to come forward. Aesthetics matter and how our Guardians look is important to us.
-
13 RepliesWhile I personally don't mind the clean slate, I can understand why others feel so strongly about their year one stuff. I suggest that anyone who has completed the Triumphs challenge are allowed to ascend THREE legendary weapons and armor, of their choosing, into year two attack power. That way, Destiny vets will feel rewarded for their year one adventures and year one legendaries won't flood year two content like Bungie fears it will.

This is literally the same thing that Deej has said many times in the forums, but with more sugar on top. Why does everyone ride up on one community manager for what they are doing, but then mindlessly hate on the other for doing the same thing?

1 ReplyEdited by Malacite: 8/26/2015 5:05:47 PMHere's the thing though, a lot of MMO's gear is just generic and you can glamour it (except for FFXI, where side grades were a big thing and I loved that game for that). Our gear is about more than just raw stats, and leaving them behind blows. I'm sick of this trend of always moving along with the flavor of the month crap. Diablo 3 for example, does this to an extent with seasons - adding new exclusives each season that eventually carry over into the normal game. But they also regularly update under-performing existing items so that they remain competitive and as a result the player base has a multitude of options. That's how you make a game more interesting, by giving the player greater choice and variety. Sometimes intelligently made restrictions are necessary, but not in this case. For example, not carrying over both the Vex (which still needs a massive accuracy buff by the way) and the Nechrocasm, Bungie is essentially removing all incentive for anyone - including new players - to do that content. It's also a huge slap in the face to us for putting in all the effort of not only acquiring that rare gear, but spending further time gathering etheric light to keep it up to date. My hope for Year 2 initially was that Etheric Light would remain relevant and be key to keeping our new stuff competitive and giving us a reason to keep playing HoW content (with some adjustments of course, instantly taking our old gear to the new cap with just 1 light would be silly)

There are a few old vanguard weapons I want to bring but that's about it

28 RepliesThe biggest problem isn't that they're leaving gear behind, all games do that eventually. The issue is that they made us dependent on the gear we were using, told us it was important, made a way to ascend it, THEN decided they would make them all useless (can't even use them to improve new gear). Sure, I can use it on patrols and older content but why would I want't to? It's this wishy washy bipolar approach that has caused the problem.

3 RepliesEdited by iLL_Elegance: 8/27/2015 2:42:40 AMTbh the I want my old gear forever logic is annoying. Now, in terms of armor, if they had some type of style/vanity/transmog system that would be cool, because looking however you want would be nice. I want new weapons, in a sense, why make new ones if you only want what you already have? If I knew that we would be fighting oracles for the rest of the game, I would then be on the same page, but I don't think that's the case.

4 RepliesEdited by WorkadayLemur72: 8/27/2015 6:54:19 PMHope the devs don't listen to him and the ignorant cries of the community. Leaving some year one exotics behind(i would let them all behind personally) might be one of the best decisions Bungie have made with Destiny. Evolve with the game or move on, is just as easy as that.

8 RepliesI wish he wouldn't have... This goddamn community needs to move the hell on and stop crying about not being able to use fatebringer, black hammer/found verdict, and gjallarhorn for 10 years. It's a fucking RPG with MMO elements people. There's this word "progression" go plug it into dictionary.com the internet is for more than fapping and whining.
