Why do people want their stuff to carry over? To use the same guns etc FOREVER? I'm glad I have to rebuild

You can still build a new collection without the old ones being sent to dust. People will use whats newer and better, provided there is anything there worth getting.
-
Nah people here just complain about change, when change is a good thing

Edited by Nash: 8/26/2015 8:48:22 AMNo one has to use the same weapons. But some would like the choice. Just because Id like a year one weapon to be relevant in year two doesn't mean that's the only weapon I will ever use.
-
Well they ain't going to be relevant at all for end game content so quit whining and move on
-
Edited by Nash: 8/26/2015 4:47:46 PMDon't be ignorant. No one is "whining". I simply responded to your comment.
-
Plus 1 to that matey.
-
No... You would basically just use what you think is best, which would end up being a year one because of certain perks they are getting rid of for year two. If you want the game meta to move on in a healthy direction this is the way it needs to be done. The only other way would be nerfs and strait up banning replacing a bunch of perks.

Edited by Nash: 8/26/2015 9:03:51 AMLol no, I wouldn't. I would use the weapons I want to use. No content forces my hand. Also, it's not the players fault if they chose to use a certain weapon because of its perks. That's on Bungie. I find it interesting that people seem to care how others play the game. Also, I hardly doubt my Supremacy, prudence, deviant gravity, and zombie apocalypse are the games meta.

I feel the same way, does everyone want to run around with Fatebringer, blackhammer and Gjallarhorn all the time?
-
No but I would love to actually use hardlight and necrochasm and have them be useful.
-
Most people just want to pick the best weapons and keep playing with them though.
-
You don't even know if they are cut yet...
-
Apparently everyone is you.
-
I feel the issue is simply why not let each individual player decide? You want to rebuild and that's great, others may not. Why not have both options available? No real reason not too. (assuming the code can do it)

Edited by Iji The Killer: 8/26/2015 9:02:11 AMThey are trying to fix past mistakes, certain perks are to good and make some guns stand out way to much. If you want more interesting boss battles and less bullet sponges then certain guns and perks need to get left behind. Gally, Black Hammer, Fate Bringer, Final round, etc... need to go. You can make the argument that they can just try and make better guns, they can't do that without making us to powerful and having to make the bosses even more boring to fight.
-
Why not adjust said weapons? Eradicating them for that reason seems extreme. I don't really understand why they're making this choice. But I'm fine with it, TLW is moving on so I'm happy.
-
If they could I'm sure they would, the guns they want to get rid of are way to good already, the only way to adjust them to the power level they want for the game would make them pretty bad. It's better to leave them as good weapons for old content where they would keep there current power lever, do to the damage cut off in all content in the game.
