This....is kind of a hard thread to type. In fact, I doubt most of you recognize me. So many new faces here. I expect many of you will ask "Who the hell are you?" or "LOL nobody cares." Still though, if any of the moderators happen to see this thread or if any of the bungie.net veterans come across it, this is my goodbye. Though come to think of it, those of you who do know me will no doubt suspect this is a troll. I wouldn't blame you. Nevertheless, it feels wrong to depart without first saying something. I've been a member of bungie.net since the days of Halo 3. Never before had I encountered such a unique and often hilarious online community. I was enchanted by Bungie's interaction with the community and the bizarre culture their employees fostered. I remember when Shishka's wrath was a thing to be both feared and admired. I remember the day where The Flood was inundated with 6 pages of threads about Porches, which spawned the unofficial "Porch Day" holiday. I was here when the community grieved over the loss of BerzerkerBarage. Although I did not know him, I was touched by how many people he had affected. There are many other memories, but they are too numerous for one topic and if I recount them, I will not be able to leave. The interactions I've had with other users on here formed connections that shaped my life. And that, is part of the reason I made a decision to leave. There are parts of me that need to die, and they will not do that unless I dispose of this moniker. I already unlinked my PSN account. After I post this topic in several forums, I will scramble my password so that I will be unable to log back into ever again. I probably won't return to bungie.net ever either. I know this contradicts the post I made the other day, but I decided I cannot afford to be tethered to this website any longer. To DeeJ, my archnemesis. I will miss our sparring.
