Yes and we are taxes for that as well.
At the end of the month my payslip shows that I am deducted income tax, national insurance (the NHS bit), then after that as well as paying VAT on every purchase pretty much, road tax, council tax, additional taxes on alcohol (we Brits like a drink). Don't try and tell me the NHS is free we just have a more socialist model and we all still pay for it just in a different way. And then like most heists these days I have private health to top it up for me and my family.
