Facts alone don't make you exempt from fanboyism.
Throwing facts to demoralize and diminish someone else's purchase is pretty common.
For example, a PC gamer saying how consoles have weaker hardware by itself is a fact. However, if said PC gamer starts deliberately bringing this up unprovoked in a thread talking about an entirely different subject, it's obviously intended to be mean and I consider that an act of Fanboyism.
Basically, some things are just true, but you don't have to go around rubbing them in everyone else's faces.

A fanboy is too deluded to see the truth. A dick just wants to insult people regardless.

Fair enough. Fanboys can be dicks and dicks can be fanboys though.
