When the original Xbox was released in the UK, I remember an interview with a MS executive. The interviewer asked how come games are more expensive in the UK, and the reply was, simply because UK players will pay it.
Either pay for it or don't if you don;t think its worth the value for you. By it in 6 months to a year when its bargain basement price.

US pays about $60 for a new game? We pay £40. So yes we pay more, but by $3 not $22..

Yes, that was the case then - but 14 years and a deep recession later we're not prepared to be taken for granted as a huge cash cow.
