If Bungie and Activi$ion announce that year one legendaries and exotics will not have a upgrade path, will you continue to play destiny?
Edit 1: For those who would stay... Imagine having to completely replace your exotic armory. Every exotic would be useless except for PvP.
Edit 2: We are trending! :D
Edit 3: We Broke 1,000! This is my biggest post yet! Thank you all for your input!

If year one legenderies were not upgradable I won't be grinding for year two ones. Which means considerably less play time.
-
Purples will be left behind. Golds will more up. Cause the pool of exotics will remain limited. Destiny 2: the quest for more DLC. Will most likely not. Allow exotics to move forward.

Edited by UltimatebluE II: 7/23/2015 6:04:24 PMYear one means nothing It's still destiny one so all guns should still be relevant until destiny two It's not like there's loads of content anyway Edit: it's bungies way of increasing vault space
-
Yeah. They are certainly nerfing BH and other guns with TTK patch just so they can be rendered useless and unupgradable. That makes a lot of sense. God these dumb rumors...
-
I'm pretty sure legendary weapons and armor will be replaced. The exotics should be fine.
-
If you upgrade all your op exotics from year one, what point will there be in using year 2 exotics? I'm ok either way, but no way should year 1 legendaries be upgradable. It'll become too stale. (As if it already isn't)
-
If that proves to be true I hope they give Xur completely new stock - the strange coin economy must be in a real decline at present! Poor ol' worm face :~(
-
People seem to forget that this game is intended to be an mmo. As such, they're (albeit loosely) following a game model kind of like WOW but as a fps. The key difference is that gear doesn't level in WOW, just characters and skills. People also seem to forget that this game is STILL in its infancy. "10 year plan" remember?
-
Another thought, if Bungie is trying to keep LFG individuals from excluding players based on a single weapon, I doubt they will create another Gjallarhorn type weapon. Bungie also could fix this by implementing Matchmaking with good filters. i.e. (Playlist specific) completions, k/d, mic, latency, play style.
-
No land beyond
-
I would imagine the only way Bungie would make exotics useless is if they came up with 25+ new exotic armor pieces and 25+ new exotic weapons which I highly doubt Bungie would do. Therefore I think exotics will remain in the TTK. But none of us know for sure except for the people at Bungie

Edited by Hiypher: 7/23/2015 5:45:59 PMAs long as we can keep all exotics I'll be ok with it. Oh and the vog legendaries.
-
I wouldn't like it. But I don't have to like everything they do to enjoy their product.
-
I would be fine with it :P
-
my exotic armory is mostly situational, or down right trash now, and they are nerfing my goto inventory. I will buy and play the taken king, maybe get the fatebringer 2.0 in the new raid! It's not time to make a leave/stay call right now. Get more information then make a decision.
-
I kind of agree with the idea of moving on. Hopefully they'll let us carry our exotics through. But I won't be to angry if they don't. As long as the new guns coming out are decent and don't have dumb shit like shank burn on them. Seriously bungie? Shank burn? Now I can kill them with half a bullet. Thanks.
-
I doubt exotics ever go away tbh, and if they do it definitely will not be until the next installment of the game.
-
Imagine that the sensible option is winning ...the butthurts are losing this poll as well. Maybe they eventually will all just leave and go yell at a CoD game or something Lol
-
I only want the Exotics to carry on because I doubt they would make a new set of exotics with the same quantity
-
Exotics will still be upgradable, but not legendaries.
-
Legendary gear is cool . But exotics should always be upgradeable
-
At least let us keep our exotics. Especially, since half of them were not even good in year 1.
-
I'm done til Destiny 2 anyway. I play occasionally, and my friends stopped, so since they're done and I have no one to keep me entertained while playing, we've basically moved onto other shit.
-
That isn't going to happen. They already announce the gun fixes and nerfs to our guns now. The 2.0 patch won't come out until right before TTK. Why would they nerf gjallarhorn if two weeks later it would become un-upgradable
-
You'll probably only need the new weapons for the new endgame stuff. The old guns will still be viable in the older parts of the game.
-
I will stay as long as it's fun. Using the same old gear for 10 years would be boring as crap. What's the point of new content of you just stick to all the old stuff? Everything changes and it always will.
