Deej is a joke. Less than 100 hours played and never beat the raids or PoEs. How can you manage a community when you don't even play the game?

Because bungie thinks we'd be stupid enough to let it slide

If I had access to non-public builds of game in development I'd alpha test the crap out of it. If you listen to the Planet Destiny Podcast 11, Deej was featured in it. He talked about how he played the game over and over and the team would push an update and they'd wipe the guys characters. He's played a lot more than his public profile says. I'm sure he continues to play private builds of taken king, etc, too.

Edited by EZ Pickenz 73: 7/14/2015 8:57:19 PMThe same way a CEO doesn't have to know how to do all of the company's employees' jobs to be effective. Deej's job is to listen and report to his higher-ups and provide us with adequate responses back from them. He does not have to be a master of the game to empathetically listen to the concerns of daily players.

He needs to play the game to understand what we are saying and efficiently and accurately relay that information back to Bungie. Absolutely the community manager should be part of the community. It's like a football coach coaching a football team without ever playing the game. You need to actually participate to understand the nuances

Plenty of super bowl coaches never played in the nfl... Just saying
-
Yeah but I bet they all played college ball. And we're descent.
-
Almost all... Yes.. But there are the rare few.. And to be clear I'm not defending Deej hahaha
-
Ok sounds good. And I'm sure you're right but I think we agree in the end

They belong in a hot dog stand

Besides which, I wouldn't be surprised if he used a private account. I imagine he's public account gets spammed something fierce!
-
Agreed.
