I have beaten Skolas both pre and post patch as well... i agree that it really isn't much fun and the loot isn't that great... but in all honesty prison of elders as a whole isn't that fun. PoE pales in comparison to the raids and with the amount of cheating going on in ToO there really isn't any point to playing the game anymore after beating Skolas a few times.
